Has anyone ever used to make a little puddle of water by the side of the court and step your badminton shoes into them. And then rubbing the floor with your shoes until they become dry, it works, it makes them grip better. Anyone here do this? If not, you should try....
I know guys who bring wet towel to step on (instead of puddle of water) to achieve the same result...
This is a standard procedure for slippery courts. i would agree abt the Sodas but i think ur shoe might stink at the end of the day. So i stick to water.
I usually spit also, but here in Singapore spitting is prohibitive and can be fined. Again, it's a fine city.
I think you just have to clean your outsoles with a damp cloth to remove the dust that have built up. Having water on the court is baaaad! You don't want yourself or other people to trip up.
Hair spray works realy good too just make sure you spray with water after each time .Then it's all good
But what happens when it dries? Doesn't it leave a nasty and sticky film on the bottom of your shoe? How do you bring them home? Shoe bag?
I don't use nor need anything, my Yonex SHB-99LE has more than enough grip. I just make sure at the end of the day I clean the dust or any foreign substances off the shoes. I only wear my Badminton Shoes for court play only. I never wear my court shoes outside, for normal walking.
Use Formula One rubber, that might help you grip! =P Naa, where I play at, one does that since the grip is good as long as you're wearing courts. I use the Nike Multicourt V which work great.
since i swet like a pig it's rather easy... rub my sweaty hands against teh sole: is insta-grip in 3 seconds... or i take 2 towels with me. 1 for showering, and a smaller one. use teh small one to wipe teh sweat of my face/hands. and use is then to clean shoes... btw, puddles get a bit messy..soak a towel..your shoes don't need to be soaking wet, just mildly moist..
