Both Saina and Inthanon seems to be equally matched. I guess fitness will determine who wins finally.

Saina is tiring out Ratchanok. Extending the rallies

Saina now seems more likely to win the match at 7-2. Intanon still have a chance however.

I've always appreciated Tse Ying Suet, great player , but if only she had a better partner :(

I thought Tang Chun Man is the best HKG has to offer right now.

Does Intanon have something extra in her reserve tank? She seems to be visibly tired.

Hee/Tan's chance was already gone when they lost the second set 20-22. Hard luck for them.

Intanon's endurance is lower than Saina's at this moment. 20-12 to Saina.

CP is okay but Joachim FN is really getting too old. CP needs a new partner

Exactly, the fitter Saina Nehwal prevails, one way traffic at deciding game, 21-12. The fatigue Intanon commits many uncharacteristic errors at front area.

SN did it, out maneuvered RI completely.
Even at her current fitness level she proved her power, accuracy and determination is no push over. Great stuff, tricky R2 awaits

Tang Chun Man is not bad at all, he needs more exposure. It's time for Danish veteran to call quit, Fischer will turn 39 years old this November.

Saina must heve relished this victory. But the road ahead is tough. At the moment her movement is slow , against a fast paced player like Marin her chances of winning are slim.

Saina Nehwal played tactical badminton and stunned Ratchanok Intanon. Saina has many limitations as she struggles with endurance on court. Her determination and fighting spirit made the difference. :)

Good win by Tan/Tse. It is not easy to beat the No.4 seed DEN pair.

A disappointing start to the tournament for Chen Yufei, a one-round trip.

Jindapol brought some cheer to Thai fans after Intanon's loss by beating lower ranked player Kim Hyo Min 21-17 21-14.. WR #15 Jindapol has a certain agility and ease of movement in her play. But to move up in the ranks against a star studded field is difficult.
