Will be in Jakarta this June and planning to catch some of the matches. Anyone knows how to buy tickets online from outside of Indonesia? Online Indonesian retailers like blibli seem to need local mobile phone and address to register.

Unfortunately only blibli available at the moment I think.

And, FYI the venue change into Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). For the moment it will not using Istora Senayan since it still on renovation due to Asian Games 2018 preparation.

Online ticket box will be available from today April 21, 2017

The JCC venue will be different experience but I am not sure whether it would be better because it is not a stadium.

Probably the only year it will be at JCC as I expect next year newly refurbished Istora would be ready

The seats capacity is only 3,500, it's not too properly to stage Premier event despite offering huge total prize money (US$1,000,000) but PBSI has no other choice since Istora is getting renovation for next year AG.

Tickets price is not cheap at all.

To convert it to rupiah, my tickets at MalaysiaSSP is only 550.000 rupiah. Probably my seat was VIPB. still, its 100%+ difference. and since this is the first time it it will be hold there, wonder if the atmosphere will be as good as stadiumPerpaduan.

Does anybody know the plan/seat arrangement in JCC?
I would like to know where VVIP, VIP A and VIP B seats are located.
Judging from previous Indonesia Open, I wouldn't want to sit in the VVIP seats because they are just too close.

Even the VVIP for 7 days isn't equal to one IPL match here. I thought it would be way more expensive, after all badminton is extremely popular in INA.
Although its another thing that we have free entries in IND SS

Some partial view about the venue on going prepared:

I've just got that info:

Cheers!

more expensive tickets, but fewer seat capacities.

Considering the event would be held 1 week prior to Ied Mobarak holidays,
I cannot expect the atmosphere would equal to Istora's in the past.

PBSI should have considered alternative location for the future, especially one that can provide more affordable pricings.

Interesting. This venue breaks one of BWF's rules for hosting Superseries. Venues for superseries need four match courts. This plan only shows three....??

The reason why HK Open was forced to change venue to keep Superseries status was the old venue had three match courts. If HK had not changed to a four match court venue, then it would have lost its status.

As I've said rules can be bent, amended or changed as needed but with good justification. I suspect it's only for this time as the location seems a makeshift one until their original venue still under renovation is ready. Otherwise, BCA may be forced to cancel the event, and how to find a replacement at short notice ?

the tournament is an extra day longer. monday start.

normally you have 4 courts for the first 3 days (tue, wed, thur) which gives you 12 courts to play through the 16's, before you break down to 3 (or 2) for the 1/4's on friday.

now you have 3 courts for 4 days (mon, tue, wed, thur) which is still 12 courts to play through the 16's, before you break down to 3 (or 2) for the 1/4's on friday.

badminton math!
