Welcome to CCC@Badminton Central !!! :):):)​

Yes, CCC is still accepting new members. We accept all players, regardless of skill levels.

Your first attendance is 'No Charge'. If you like the way our club is run, then you can join CCC.

BTW, all our CCC activities/discussions are listed in our CCC Sub-Forum located at:

Just to inform everyone who has not known, our 'First attendance is No Charge' has been abandoned. This is because keeping our record of who has played at CCC before has become TOO BIG to handle. Sorry, administrative work takes too much time. :o:o:o

A post was made in our Friday CCC@Waverley thread. It is regarding to our policies/objectives of our CCC Badminton Club. It is best to post it here as well. :):):)

Yes, many CCC visitors have told us that we are a very different club from many other clubs. If only our visitors take time to read our policies, located at: click here , they will understand why CCC is different. In fact, I read it often so as to remind myself what we stand for. :D:D:D

Just to remind ourselves of our policies, they are listed below:
(1) To promote Badminton to as many new players in Melbourne as possible. (We are a Community Club, not a Private Group of players)

(2) To look after all players, regardless of their skill levels. (We look after weaker players as well, not just the highly skilled ones)

(3) To have participation as the key to the enjoyment of Badminton, not the winning or losing. (We look after Social players as well, not just the Competitive ones)

(4) To prevent any segregation within our players. (We encourage our players to play with every other players, not to form cliques within CCC)

(5) To select appropriate players for teams formation without bias/prejudice. (However, CCC members do have priorities over our CCC visitors)

(6) To promote all 5 events, namely;
(a) Mens Singles
(b) Womens Singles
(c) Mens Doubles
(d) Womens Doubles, and
(e) Mixed Doubles
(When attendances are bigger, Doubles do have priorities over Singles)

(7) To organise many different activities to entertain our players. (Here, we need event organisers to do the work. Now and then, many members are too busy to have time to organise activities)

Perhaps we should post them here as well.

Questions:
Would it be possible to just turn up? Or is there a need to book?
Is it possible to move between the places especially if one day doesn't suit?

Answers:
[FONT=Bitstream Vera Sans, sans-serif]No booking is required for our Friday session at Waverley because of current lower attendance. [/FONT][FONT=Bitstream Vera Sans, sans-serif]But at our other venues where we have higher attendances, booking is required.

Our CCC membership covers all CCC venues. Therefore, members can play at all sessions.

I used to play at Glen Waverly with you guys for a while but I have moved to northern suburb lately.

I was wondering if you could recommend me some good places to play. I live very close to La Trobe university by the way.

Long time no see. :):):)

If you live very close to La Trobe University, why not play there?

Give their Sports Association a call. I used to play there regularly before, but I haven't been there for 10 years now.

The reason I asked is because I want to find a group of people like the one I used to play with which is organized by you. I thought you would know such groups so that you could tell me one of the contacts. Never mind, I will try to find out.

We have closed our CCC Badminton session at Waverley Christian College, 1248 High Street Road, Wantirna South, Victoria, Australia.

CCC Badminton is now based at MSAC, Albert Park;

* Sundays will be for Coaching And Training
