Coming from you,I can't believe my eyes.

First, it's the MAS Open where LCW is the undisputed King on home soil and the whole nation rooting for and expecting him to be crowned again. No way !

Second, the last thing LCW wants is to see Lin Dan in Glasgow if he can help it.

Third, the two maestros have too much respect for each other to do anything other than play their best against each other on equal terms.

after all this year, the Japanese WD still employ attrition as a tactic..

He he why bother to comment the trivia, Justin? :)

JPN does a great job in producing quality WD, so fast to have few good couples on top... on par with China wrt growing the WD.

Yeah, you're right, why bother but I thought he's being dismissve of LCw, not only LD.

I'm sure Huang Yaqiopng very much wants to win this WD, after the XD failure, but she really needs a better partner than Tang Jinhua who's not at her best yet in her injury comeback. That's the harsh reality of professional sports.

Answering my own Q: NO, it's the 2nd time LCW lost in the FINALS of MAS OPEN.

The 1st defeat occurred at his very first final, lost to Chen Long, in 2003!

Here's the related MS Winners as of 2003 to date of MALAYSIA OPEN (SS/SSP):

Lee Chong Wei's defeat to Lin Dan in 2017 (19-21, 14-21 in 55 minutes) is his second defeat in the finals.

As some might have said here, Dato might just feel that he had too much here so he decided to throw it away today... thus lucky Dan there to pick up... ha ha ha :p:D

Hi all. I'm sorry for being slightly off topic, but since this is my first time here, I wasn't really sure where I should post my request. I just spotted that Gelopisan had posted an image of Li Xuerui's Weibo account on page 8 (so it seemed to me, but I'm not sure since I can't read Mandarin), and I was wondering if somebody could please give me the link to her Weibo account.
    Many thanks in advance.

I agree that Lin Dan got lucky and he picked it from the road and all that

But Chen Long was in his diapers in 2003.

I was expecting the JPN WD to take it straight, instead it's one game apiece

Thanks Gelopsian. Unfortunately, the link you posted is asking me to sign into my non-existent Weibo account. Is there any way to circumvent this problem? Lastly, do the links given by you and Kelana lead to the same page?
