China Open 2006 QF (Oct 20)

This... This is not supposed to happen... argh

but good fight, people will have nothing to say as Taufik put all efforts into it

Both must be did a very great game. There is no walkover and they both are so fighting every single point in the third. Congratulation for TH and CJ!!!

Well done Chen Jin, great match!
Hard luck to Taufik - a well fought match but unlucky this time!

Now that my two favrourites have had their game I can relax a bit... Go Chen Jin - win CO!

Chen Jin has really shown a lot of maturity in his game as he takes the set 21-18 and wins the match. The commentators mentioned that Taufik did not look to be bothered and serious through his match.

So, it's all Chinese in the MS semi-finals with Lin Dan vs Bao Chunlai and Chen Hong vs Chen Jin.

Indeed, Taufik did his best really. It was a tough match for both parties -- cheers for both players. I almost ran out of breath watching it.....

Jokes aside, the badminton world can no longer rely on TH to perform his miracles again, his chances for the coming Asian Games look grim all of a sudden...

I don't see why. This was a very very close game, and either of them could have won. Anything can happen at Doha - I wouldn't count Taufik out just yet, he has as good a chance as any :).

my gratitude for LDQ who keep on updating us. See you next time. It's my turn to jump to the baddy court. :)
Yes thanks very much LDQ and others for keeping those of us unable to watch up to date!

The young padawan can now take his rightful place in the team to be a full jedi master.

Amen to that! The Force is so strong with CJ. He is already a Jedi Master. The Dark Side will not tempt him. :p

Yes, thanks to all that kept us up-to-date. :)

Each time I pressed F5 with bated breath. :p

Yes...either of them could have won, really. But maybe Taufik will feel a bit bad and sad abt it; some of the last points Chen Jin got were from Taufik's own unforced errors....
