The defeat was not a surprise for me. I bet now you should know why I used not to have too much hope on Msian players. Our players (including MS and MD) used to dissappoint us when you expect most from them. In contrast, they would surprise us with victory if you expect least from them. So, take it easy and hope they will play better in next tournament.

What to do. They have Tan Kim Her in their coaching panel.

When Kim Her returns, then the Korean's turn to get bashed up! :)

    Just checked the official results:
    MIXED DOUBLES
Lee Yong Dae/Hwang Yu Mi lost to Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir 12-21, 11-21

Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam lost to Lee Jae Jin/Lee Hyo Jung 17-21, 12-21

-- surprisingly, both Nova/Butet and Lee/Lee won easily today...now..can Nova/Butet repeat the result they had 3 weeks ago in Surabaya...beating Lee/Lee also in 2 straight sets? We shall see tomorrow....

excuse my thoughts and opinions. the second part was most def. rude but kinda true

But you have to agree with my first opinion...the arrogance just radiates from the head coach, dunno about the athletes but after LD's behavior and many other CHN athletes, its clear that their success may have gotten to some of their heads

Tan Kim Her did a great job in lifting the standard of mens doubles in Korea. I hope when he comes back to Msia.. he will definately do the same thing to our juniors.
Oh well its sad to hear that CCM/KKK lost in the semis. They will bounce back.

They actually look ok. Not as bad as you think. Real person does look pretty. For example.. i had a bad impression on this Indonesian player Polii Gresya. After knowing her personally and also when i see her in person, i think she is pretty.. had a good smile. But of course her hair need to do some work. Heheh

Lifting the standard? Considering that he was hired just after Korean teams won gold and silver in the Olympics, that sounds odd. I think he was very helpful in a rebuilding year. Kim, Lee, and Yoo had just retired, Kim Yong-hyun had retired earlier, the Ha Tae-kwun/Yim Bang-un pairing was going nowhere and Korea had no one left but youngsters with little or no international experience. Had Tan Kim Her already started when Jung won the Thailand Open with his former partner, Lee Jae-jin? Even so, he has brought very young players like Lee Yong-dae, who just graduated from high school, and Hwang Ji-man, Jung Tae-geuk, Han Sang-hoon and others into the international fray and they are steadily improving.

It would cost BAM an arm and a leg to get Kim Her back....in fact there were talks of him coming back when his contract with Korea expire recently but I think Kim Her wont be back as long as YKH is still head coach.....plus Malaysia have loads of dbls coach.....

With the current leadership of PBSI, I don't think they can even afford to pay for his salaries. It's a pity....imagine the improvement to Kido/Hendra, Hendra/Joko and other young pairs (Yoga/Yonathan and Frans/Rendra) if Rexy trains them
