I've watched this Thailand WS pair for many years and am happy to see they have improved so much to be in this SSF.

Of particular interest is the beauty of KV who never fails to impress me although as expected they lost to China's top pair.

Looks like BWF is still experimenting with the challenge software system and the lack of transparency seems to have caused unhappiness among players and fans.

At the SEA Games pool, the women's 4x200m Freestyle relay started aggressively with THA leading the first leg, followed closely by SIN.

SIN caught up by the third leg and Tao Li, the anchor, brought the team home with the gold, much to the disappointment of THA.

In the ongoing XD, DEN was relentless with G1 score of 21-9.

Let's see whether the longstanding THA 'veteran' pair can take back G2 to force a rubber.

JOJ's most recent trademark of stockings and bundled hair provide an attractive distraction to the ongoing SSF series.

Hope WZM is not unduly distracted to give away two easy games to JOJ.

At SEA Games basketball, SIN defeated INA, perhaps an upset. It seems SIN has scored two wins so far.

Meanwhile it seems that JOJ's attractive attire seems to have done the right damage as he almost whitewashed WZM 21-9 in G1.

What happened to WZM. I didn't expect him to loose this easily, still i guess he'll do better in the second game. Equally shocking is JOJ's hairstyle. I remember WSX used to have similar hairstyle two-three years back.

A disastrous start for WZM, nothing seems to go right for him.

What an error-prone game from WZM, and outplayed as well.

The worst game I've ever seen WZM play, a non-event.

Most uninteresting MS match i have ever seen. It's like one sided match practice. Very very pretty easy victory for JOJ. So, he through to the semifinal along with LCW.

As usual, WZM is ... well.. Superking?? .. He can play only in his homeland and win a superseries title (i think , 1 title).. Outside of China?? ..

JOJ played a smart game, allowing WZM few opportunities to unleash his cracking smashes, and controlling the front court to get WZM out of position and keeping the shuttle down as much as possible. By the time WZM realized it, it's too late, trailing too far behind to be able to do much about it.

What an excellent match by Jan Ö against the overrated Wang Zhengming. I laugh when people call WZM "the next king" or say that he is more talented than for example Chen Long. Just because you have a slow walk, look careless and only react to what your opponent is doing (WZM) doesn't mean you are more talented than someone who is stronger physically, stronger mentally and better tactically (CL).

Once again congrats Jan Ö Jorgensen. He is looking very much on form and I predict he will reach the final.

I'm very sad that SIN did rather badly in this SEA Games Badminton. High hopes were placed on Gu Juan, Derek Wong in singles, and Danny & Vanessa in XD to win at least a medal. But they have failed, no thanks to their tough Draw.

Fu Mingtian brought us the WS gold the last time but she has converted to WD with Vanessa as partner and they too lost in R16 on Day 1. Her injuries were too much for her to bear.

Young WS Chen JY cleared R16 but lost in the QF today through breathing problems it seemed. Nevertheless she lasted 3 games.

Our last hope is in our WD duo of Yao Lei & Shinta, who were recently reunited after a trial period with other partners. They beat their INA opponents today to enter the SF tomorrow. Good luck girls!

Wished the SSF hadn't clashed with the SEA Games, sigh!
