Denmark Open 2006: Day 3 (02/11)

Maria Kristin lost the first set to Jiang Yanjiao 20-22. I am actually quite impressed by her performance so far. So much better than Nana!!

It has been a tiring day for her so far, playing again after just 3 hrs of rest. I don't think Maria can beat Jiang...but...who knows?

I also don't know why she is not being sent to the Asian Games. Instead, Pia Zebadiah will be the 3rd singles. Her results in Bitburger and Denmark Open far oushine the other 2 supposedly better players.

Yao Jie just manage to take the 1st set 21-19
Maria looking good at the 1st half of 2nd set.

Przemyslaw Wacha....oooh

I wanted him to win, he's got such a nice personality
and seeing him play is a pleasure to the eye of any badmintonfan.

Maria has got unfair decision for a long time (I ever ask you in SIN Satellite how was Maria condition, looked has mental's problem or not). She was accused as UC Qualifying failed reason so weren' sent in any tournament then. Winning in 2 satellite and coach changing made her sent in European tournament.

Some rumour around Pelatnas is much family's player (parent, boy friend) has influenced to Hendrawan's view on his players. Maria's familes are live in Tuban (East Java), too far from Cipayung different with Firda & Fransisca. The Opposite story on Silvi Antarini, her parent given bad report to Pelatnas.

Both Hendrawan or Joko are same level as coach. They were good as player but not capable as coach.

tell us more about Wacha from your point of view. I never see him play before but I am sure he is good looking at the scores against KJ.

Maria Kristin has lost as expected to Jiang Yanjiao in rubber sets 20-22, 21-15, 10-21. I think she has run out of stamina after 5 long sets. Anyway, a very positive performance by her.

When I was watching her at the SIN Satellite, she looked okay. Definitely not stressed by the possibility of demotion from Pelatnas.

Maria lost to Jiang Yan Jiao 20-22 21-15 11-21

win 19-21 21-17 21-16 over Huang Chia Chi
lost 20-22 21-15 11-21 to Jiang Yan Jiao

playing 2 matches in a day made badminton looke a bit unfair aspecially when one player played tougher in earliaer round

Devin Lahardi/Yunita Tetty have lost tamely to Zhang Wei/Zhao Yunlei 19-21, 11-21.

Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa are up next against He Hanbin/Tian Qing.

Kristof Hopp/Birgit Overzier - Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter Juhl

11-21, 11-21

Great matches now:

Peter Gade - WCH

and

Robertson/Emms - Paaske/Nielsen
