What a pleasant surprise..Nitya Krishinda/Greysia Polii upsetted Cheng Shu/Zhao Yunlei in straight sets 21-15, 21-16  The winners of 3 consecutive titles out in their first outing...hmmm......this should confirm Nitya/Grace's potential. Kinda exciting.....since both are very young...much better potential than Vita/Butet IMHO. Nitya/Grace will face a winnable tie against Helle Nielsen/Marie Roepke for a place in the last 4.

Meanwhile, Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki beat another Danish pair in straight-sets also 21-12, 21-17. Scoreline is actually similar to the the previous day's....spooky  A consolation is that Rian/Yoke will now face a new pair Fu Haifeng/Shen Ye, instead of the Danish foe they haven't beaten so far.

The prize is that they are now in the Semi-Final, a walkover win in the QF.
