    Tricky tests for Lindaweni en route to semifinal, she most likely will meet Japanese upcoming WS at second round, Yui Hashimoto who knocked out Jiang Yanjiao last week in SUI GP Gold, next either Nozomi or China back up players at last eight.

    The mens singles will be the most competitive, with 64 players contesting against each other in the main draw to proceed to the latter rounds

    I will predict Lee Chong Wei, Qiao Bin, Simon Santoso and Tien Minh Nguyen to sail to the semi-finals

    However, Daren Liew, Huan Gao and Chong Wei Feng could prove me wrong

    Lots of 2nd team Chinese players entered into the draw in all 5 categories. Very interested to see how these youngsters can do.

    I've just read that Lin Dan has been registered for the Asia Badminton Championships to be held in Chinese Taipei,16th - 21st Apr. CHN is practically sending their full force including WS LXR, WYH, WSX, MD Liu XL/Qiu ZH, Chai Biao partnering Guo Zengdong, Hong Wei partnering Shen Ye but 'Wind and Cloud' i.e. Fu/Cai not participating; the WD and XD will also be in full force; the other MS are Chen Long, Wang ZM, Du PY, Chen Jin, and Gao Huan.

    However, Lee CW and Taufik Hidayat are notable absentees.
