Wow, I guess the Z Strike isn't as stiff as I thought. I wouldn't have called the Z Speed especially stiff.

came out to be kind of kind of stiffness i had never experienced, took a lot of time, decided better, sold it to an office colleague. got a zf2. easier racket than zstrike and zspeed

can anyone compare the head heaviness of the Z Strike to that of the Z Speed?

Yeah, non-head heavy extra stiff rackets are very hard to use.

and extremely taxing on the shoulders. stiffness affects shoulders and when you play for longer periods, your elbows.

I second the assessment that ZSP is the stiffest followed by DZS then ZF2. I think DZS feels even more stiff due to the lack of head heaviness as well.

What do you compare it's stiffness to? I find that a reduction in head heaviness exacerbates the stiffness of a racquet, and the DZS is nowhere near as head heavy as the chart suggests. Mine have bps 295-300mm...

I measured it at about 300mm, the bp is about 2mm past the N in Nanoray.

I have a personal method of testing stiffness, where if I can flex it with a backhand lift without discomfort it's fine for me.

Ah that's basically the same for me in terms of bp. For the stiffness testing, I only go by feel as well, but more in general. I find the DZS "heavier" when holding it as its very rigrd but faster than ZF2 when swinging. Zf2 for example only feels heavier in the head, but not so in the shaft. ZSP is like a more extreme version of DZS.

another factor was that, i moved too fast from flixible apacs to extra stiff yonexes. people coming from stiff victors, stiff yonexes, N90s and tennis people wont be finding it difficult to adapt to stiffness of the racket and playablity which comes as a result. before moving to yonex z stuff, i was practising with apacs compact heads to get used to the sweetspots of the frames. so, imagine what kind of an uphill i had to climb.

now i am having similar problems with dzs in 2u when i wield it in doubles. its difficult to wield it, but i plan to improve. With patience, compact and stiff frames can be mastered.

I do find it hard when I use it from bottom of grip but find it extremely good and little flexible, when I use it right at cone .

I think that's a sign that it's too stiff for you. A D10 could be better as if you have to hold it up that high you're losing a lot of the extra power you could generate.
