in 2017 Kevin is not so fit imo. He is much more muscular and fitter now. Many times Gideon bail him out include the MalaysiaOpen at Kuching where i saw them live. many times he look tired especially that Final match against FuZheng. But its probably because they won the Final the week before, not sure to playing 10matches in 2 weeks. and then the next week they were in SGO, they were beaten by BoeMo no gas left in the tank imo.

By the time its 2018 i think Kevin is better than Gideon.. especially that AsianGames Final, feel Gideon is under so pressure.

Depends on what you see as "peak". Not so sure if we have seen his peak yet. For now he is definitely the player that is considered hard to beat, making all opponents to resort on targeting Marcus instead as a game plan.

Though I somehow feel that he has at least slowed down a bit to spare Marcus in the past 2 years.

They haven't play in many tournaments. It can be a big advantage for EndoWatanabe, when they meet again, because they are left and right handed combination. Its one of few special things that they have against Minions just like SeoSJ. thats why LD and Momota can stay so long at the top. MS - he is the only WR top 20 left hander in the game.

Marcus had his grand opening of his new badminton hall and by holding a private tournaments for the MDs to try the new venue out on 28 August 2020.

There were 8 random pairs playing each other in a round robin stage and the champs with most points were :
    1. Marcus pair
    2. Kevin pair
    3. Hendra pair
(Sorry I don't recognise the junior players)

Marcus also said that building this new badminton hall was to fulfill his father, Kurniahu Gideon's, dream of having their own hall and training camp. It is a modernised hall which also provides a full facility of a gym.
Too lazy to translate the whole article :D but you get the idea.

Buka Akademi Bulutangkis, Marcus Ajak Ganda Putra Pelatnas Jajal Lapangan
    (Jakarta, 28/8/2020)

Pebulutangkis nomor satu dunia, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon resmikan pembukaan akademi bulutangkis miliknya, Jumat (28/8).

There's something about the impeccableo JAP defence that frustrates the Minions to tire out or make uncharacteristic mistakes.

I think it's also about minions state of mind or patience level as their style of playing is always about wanting to attack, attack, and attack. A very bad tactical move playing against this Jap's pair as they are very prepared to defend everything thrown into their way.

Not if they are right and right combination. Its hard to see left deception and smash, i can say that . First is because they dont always play right and left combi, just rarely. while EndoW always plays against right and right combi (obviously its a big advantage for this kind of pair who is v strong in defense and ca counterattack), somehow they can have a pair that they are good against. Look at Momota / LD strokes.

Theres only so much they can defend but when Yuta/Endo attack its harder for Minions to defend. Of course, the chemical makeup of Jap pair is they can keep defending due to Endo age (not suitable for attacking), many things can go wrong in a tournament. Thats probably why they only win 1 or 2 SS titles despite beating Minions 6 times. BAC is convincing while AE is anybodys game. 2 of the matches lost by 2 points can easily be 4-4 H2H, imo.

in the end, attack is still the best form of valor in Doubles.

I know you have mentioned it is only for Indonesian viewers, but couldn't help asking ,if there is any live streaming link that can be made available for viewers from other countries? Such mouth watering clashes shouldn't be restricted to Indonesian viewers alone
    Anyone?

    Thank you.

Based on the Home Tournament last time, sadly no. Maybe VPN helps? Didn't work for me though.
Any upload or streaming got stripped off pretty much immediately.
