It is safe to say now. Clinical performance throughout the week. Resounding wins against RG, CTC, AAYou could sense it at the Denmark Open, but now it's clear for all to see: Momota is back!
Not a single game lost this week.
Momota not back until he wins Axelsen
After the 1st round of the Indonesia Open,
Momota is now #6 for WTF, and he will become #4 if he wins tomorrow, overtaking Popov and Sen,
and I think sure to be qualified.
However, if ever he loses, several people behind him can kick him out of WTF:
Gemke, CTC, Antonsen and Tsuneyama.
So tomorrow's game is crucial.
Losing is not somthing terrible, saving energy for World Champion, Momota can lose all tournaments but have to win WC this time
Even though Japan has so many players, only players with name starting with 'K' shines in MS.
Kento Momota, Kenta Nishimoto, Kanta Tsuneyama, Koki niwa etc
Keisuke Honda, Kagawa, Kubo hehe.Kenichi toga, Kenichi Hayakawa, Kamura, Kei Nishikori
Gemke and Antonsen cannot both qualify so if they are ahead of Momota, and Momota is 9 on the list he can qualify
You jinxed him. On the bright side, he'll have a break for the WC.Momota win Loh today and Mo will be sure to fight WTF, but It's dangerous to play WTF after Indonesia Open 1000.
can be exhausted and injuried like French Open
Despite his loss, KM is almost qualified for WTF, thanks to Tsuneyama's loss.
The only way KM can miss out is if both Antonsen and Gemke win their quarterfinals.
and LKY wins the tournament.
It could be a blessing in disguise, giving extra-rest for WTF and the World Championship.
Keisuke Honda, Kagawa, Kubo hehe.
