KKK & TBH - On The Comeback Trail?

Malaysia's Koo Kien Keat & Tan Boon Heong put up an awesome display in the Super Series Men's Doubles Final to beat Korea's top MD pair.

Korea's Lee Yong Dae & Jung Jae Sung were comprehensively beaten by the Malaysians, although the Korean duo contributed greatly to their own demise with a string of unforced errors in both the games.

Final score: 21-18 21-14

Tan Boon Heong seems to have picked up some new-found confidence (and also a more powerful smash) :)

Koo Kien Keat, shorn of the flashy accoutrements that had become his defining feature, seems to be returning to what he was until a few years ago - a clever, fast and powerful doubles specialist.

So, are they on the comeback trail after having coasted downhill for quite a while?

maybe but right now, one dot on the chart does not form a trend:p

They are definitely on the comeback trail... Hopefully they can continue their fine form in MO next month & the rest of 2009.

Just wait..

A trend needs to start somewhere... and this could be it.
After all, they trounced all the big names on their way to this title ;)

Aiyooo Oldhand, after opening the "downhill thread", you go open this thread pulak. Combine it lah, become a "KKK/TBH" thread, like the other players.

Already got so many threads, they win, good, they lose, we also immune already. They won 1 title, so what, it's nothing to discuss about until have to open new thread, will cause a lot of conflict between the fans ( you should know what I'm trying to imply).:p

well...i hope this is really another fly of koo/tan begin...
i totally agree with u...i also hope tht they really bounce out form their "dark side"...i seen a lot of comfidence especially from Boon Heong...especially his smashes...woo...i hope i can have tht kind of smashes...(like i can)...hope they reain their form n win back the All England title from lyd/jjs

ppl...i think u ppl still look down on kkk/tbh eventhough they win...i noe yong dae done a lot of error 2day...bt u all also need to look at the performance of our beloved kkk/tbh...they are really nt giving any chances to the koreans....bravo to kkk/tbh....will always support u guys...

They definitely hv the ability to do it. But whether they will capitalize on that, its all up to them. CY/FHF manage to do that after winning SO last year, n manage to get up from the slump. So, add oil to our boys :)

they haven't won a single competitions this whole year , but they finish up the year with BANG . Let's hope with this win would be their return point to the top .

Um, I didn't merge the threads because the 'Going Downhill?' thread might be needed again (but, not soon, I hope).

With Koo Kien Keat & Tan Boon Heong, you never know when the gear slips into Reverse ;)

eagle, let us revisit your idea after the Malaysia Open 2009 :p

You dont get it or pretend not to get it?? I already try to say indirect.
Like I already stated, just make it "KKK & TBH" thread, no downhill, no uphill or comeback or whatever -> just like the other pairs, no need open new thread just cos they won the SS Finals.

It is needless (like another member said), and will very quickly cause some unnecessary stuff to happen, etc,etc - you know very well, still want to court trouble <sigh>.

If it was a normal member opening such threads............

It seems your loyalties have blinded you :D

The Malaysian duo have had a fresh start.
For that reason alone, a fresh thread is fine :)
