    this is another interesting draw.
i reckon LCW will fail again at the QF stage, this time to CJ.
which is really bad news for MAS MS.

i have for the semis :

    LD vs PG
    LHI vs CJ

as for MD, another potential QF clash between CY/FHF and TG/CW which unfortunately didn't materialise in the MO.
chances are it will happen this time, the only tricky game will be TG/CW vs LP/JR, a very entertaining R1 match indeed.

my semis lineup here is :

    TG/CW vs JJS/LYD
    KKK/TBH vs JE/ML

i must say, i do enjoy this super series format!

Hope what you predict is true for the Mens double but not single because i do hope LCW on action in the semis coz i miss the match between him and LD since last year.

Don't worry, LCW will beat Chen Jin, Chen Jin is still very one dimensional in attacking, LCW will be in the semi.

    Hmm, don't forget..

..and ignore last yr's Korean Open's runner-ups, Hwang JiMan & Lee JaeJin, who lost to the defending champions, Tony G. & Candra W...The KOR pair is also in the same half w/KKK & TBH..;)
IMO, the success and progress of JJS & LYD lies on how fast LYD's ankle heals, which he sprained during the just ended MO..:p

My guess is the horrendous reputation of the Korean line judges. They have offended Taufik before, a couple years back [forgot when]. Korean line judges are very notorious [at least among Indonesian players that I know].

I know for a fact that even when club players were playing [at the local level] and a line-call was called inappropriately, then there will be comments like "Hey, that was so clearly in!...not out! Are you Korean or something?" Then the coach will say, "Just take the ruling! In Korea, you will experience terrible calls. Consider this 'conditioning'..."

The only line judges of any country that were so unfair that could make the Chinese legend, Yang Yang, cry on the court. Yang Yang was never treated that unfairly all his life... so blatantly unfair.

The Indonesian players do not complain about Chinese, Japanese, Danish line judges... Just Koreans. A bit to 'patriotic' to the point that it spoils the game for the foreigners.

I dun think Korean line judges are worse than that of any other country, just that for some reason Taufik has a habit of blowing it out of proportion....

You sure? LCW looked incredibly slow to me in the match vs BCL, like he's still carrying his injury. If that's the case, he might even crash out to Boonsak. LCW's key weapon is his speed and when that is just marginally less, his play gets affected dramatically. I thought he was even struggling to win against both Bjorn and Wacha, considered non-opponents! I hope I'm wrong but if I'm right, MAS better let their star player's injury heal properly and have a complete rest.
