No it's Park Tae Sang who won, the semis are : Wong Choong Hann vs Chen Hong Xia Xuanze vs Park Tae Sang
Wong Choon Hann beat Peter Gade 10:15, 15:4, 15:8. So Chen Hong is back, then Xia is back. Now Wong CH is back? To recap, the semifinals will be Wong Choon Hann vs Chen Hong Xia Xuanze vs Park Tae Sang
great win thr for Choon Han... maybe Peter Gade really has to improve on his stamina.. since making a comeback in late 2002, he has yet to win a rubber game match in international tourneys.. and the score in the deciding set wr always single digits (peter gt a 0-15 losing to Lee HI last yr)
This is a quick-draw forum. Results faster than the speed of bullet. Anyway, it's interesting to see three supposedly off-form players and one dark horse in the last 4 of a tournament which is hotly participated (with the exception of Lin Dan and Sony Dwi). Good to see some familiar faces back. Chen Hong v Wong Choon Hann (40-60) Xia Xuanze v Park Tae Sang (51-49) The next hotly anticipated match is Kim/Ha v Flandi/Eng Hian.
Normally I'd say 55-45 to Ha/Kim But this is Korea you know......so I think I'll push it up to 90-10 to Ha/Kim
It's a good thing I didn't bet my life. Xu Huaiwen beat Pi Hongyan 11-3, 11-4. I think Jun Jae-Youn will enter the final, but I wouldn't bet my life on it
If Xu HuaiWen can beat Pi 11-3, 11-4, then i'll bet Xu HuaiWen will be in the final. (Not my life though.. )
I don't think that Kim/Ha lost every time. In the data of IBF one year past. Semi Final German Open 2003 : Hian/Limpele - Kim/Ha 15-8, 15-10 Final Taipei Open 2003 : Hian/Limpele - Kim/Ha 4-15, 1-15 It can be an Indonesian Final in Men Double.
Seems like my "bold" predictions are likely to come through for the doubles events, all-Indon (MD), all-Chinese (WD) and all-Korean (XD). The women's singles will probably be one-sided. Sounds like a boring Sunday. The only saving grace will have to be from the men's singles, with 3 off-form players and a Korean third-ranked player.
