I currently have a pain down the inside of my LEFT arm and a tickly pain down the inside of my left leg. I know you'll pull me up on this; it isn't sciatica I know. But I think whatever it is I have, and sciatica may be caused by dragging the trailing foot in RC shots, causing the pelvis and hips to strain and maybe wakening some nerves in the process.

    Anyone shed any light?

I think it is a case of a compressed sciatic nerve by the buttock muscles. Try to do some stretching. And do more often buttock massage. Your sciatic nerve pass thru few layers of your buttock muscles. And when your buttock muscles is tense ( due to all those drag and strenous badminton activities ) it squeezes that nerve. And it may cause back pain , arms pain and most of the time leg pain and even numbness on the leg. As you know that sciatic nerve is the bigggest nerve in our body. Its more of a muscle tense around the lower back and buttock area that is causing the pain. I hope this helps.

which is the main problem? the arm or the leg?

Are they related or unrelated? i.e. do you get them both at the same time?

Pain on inside of leg? Unlikely to be due to sciatica - but not enough details.

Well Cheung, it seems to be a bit of both. It's just funny that I've never had any grumbles about either before now, and they suddenly come at the same time. I'm sure it's nothing major.

Ants, yes that does actually spring to mind. The non-racket side of my lower back does feel tense when I do the lunges...I've a feeling you know a lot on this subject. Anyway, the pain seems to have subdued a bit. I'll keep you posted if it recurrs. Thanks anyway.

    Aleik.
