LCW to play US Open & Canada Open

just like outside of 10-12 ice-hockey playing nations (with a combined population of less than 800m), less than 1500 ppl have heard of the Canadian goalscorer with the statue who they call "Great One"... Has a Polish sounding name which I can't recollect.

So what if N-Am doesn't cares about badminton.... It doesn't change the fact that more ppl have heard of (or are fans of) LD/LCW/TH/PG individually than Tom Brady/Tim Tebow/All the Mannings/Babe Ruth/Bobby and Barry Bonds/Sammy Sosa/A-Rod/A-Pujols etc. combined.

The only N-Am sports to have a true global following are basketball and golf (Else MJ, Kobe, Shaq, Tiger, Phil, Jim et all would have made that list).....

Outside of these two nations (and their economic colonies like Dominican Republic) no one gives a rat's behind about global minor league sports like gridiron "non-soccer" or baseball or ice hockey.

US and Canada are about basketball, hockey and football cause they got huge sponsorship and commercial.

The only problem badminton never got huge commercial sponsorship cause break between game only 1 or 2 min so no one to put huge money to sponsor them

Well they struggle in real hockey and football and play ice-hockey and protected rugby instead.
 
I wonder why US Open is held in East Coast. West Coast, especially Bay Area has tons of Badminton fans from India, China and Indonesia. There are many Indian working in the Bay Area, Northern California playing badminton weekly in many of Badminton Clubs throughout.

Many Indonesian are everywhere in Orange County, LA Southern California.

They should have done it in San Francisco, Bay Area though... we want to see LD and LCW here :) not in LA or East Coast.
 
^ It has almost always been on the west coast. The east coast lucked out this time, this being the pre Olympic qualifying period, and with LD and LCW in the situation they're in with their points and rankings.

Yeah.. in Southern California but it is never held in San Francisco, Bay Area, Northern California.

Uh... No. The rink is built to Olympic specification, but it itself was built at least 20 years after the Olympics. Nice try.
 
LCW is playing in 3 GPG back to back: Canada, USA, Taipei and then World Championship in INA. Wuihhhh....
