i saw LCW and even TSB smilling through the match yesterday
i am not saying they are over confident, but i can sense they are enjoying every seconds of the tournament
    a more relaxing approach....

Means crazy and wild badminton. Can't reveal much here though. You will know by tomorrow or the day after tomorrow when LCW plays.

Sure, agreed with you that LCW should not go all out with his amazing overhead/jumping cross court shots in his first round match..but I think what Chris actually meant ( correct me if i am wrong) is that LCW looked kinda tense in the 2nd game and not his usual confident self in dictating his play, pushing players to all four corners..

Tanongsak's net shots made LCW to lift high on several occasions, putting LCW on the defence time and again. His much talked about net play was not seen..he sometimes did not look comfortable ( as opposed to his normal smiling look) when he was trailing. He has to bring in super shots to subdue the young Thai player.

Well. I may be wrong..LCW could be playing a psychological game here..but let's see how he performs with Ville Lang next.

Totally agreed.... Yes LCW is not going to play all out, especially in his first and second match to save up the energy for quarter, semi & final... But definitely in this first and second match he will win straight set.

IMO,The reason of why LCW did not do all of his tricky net shots, or well improved net shots, it is due to who is the opponent he faces..
He might save it up for LD or CJ.. if he have done all of the tricky net shots in the beginning, well, China coach will inspect it carefully and set some strategies for overcoming that or at least be extra alert for that..thats for sure...

I hope Dato could win this time...

    I think the opposite

    .
    I think the opposite. :):):)

If I were LCW, I would use every match as a practice match (how I wish to play) towards the Finals (if reaching the Finals is possible).

    But then, we should listen to what nokh88 had said;

    :D:D:D

You guys are absolutely smart in observing that LCW is holding back his secret weapons that Sifu TSB taught him like Buddha iron fist, black mamba flick, scorpion reverse sting,:D:p he is just waiting for the right opponents like CJ (LCW only need to use a few moves that is all he needs to do-do CJ) and then unleash everything he got when he faces LD, LD gonna got smoked this time:D:p

Okay, the truth is...trick shots can fool amateurs and make a fool of them....when playing against TH, PG, LD rarely do trickshots decide the outcome of a match, it may wins a few points here and there, but risk losing more if the trickshots do not work. If LD speed up the game, there is no time to setup trickshots. I am looking forward to seeing the trickshots anyway...yoyo used to do all these trickshots because he is tired and how many points he lost than those trickshots work, maybe Datuk has really master those deadly Buddha iron fist, black mamba fli.........:D:p

Agreed with OneToughBirdie, although Trick shots may not win the points sometimes, especially facing those Top shuttler, but it drains opponent's stamina, because the opponent need a sudden injection of speed in order to hit the shuttle.

2011 World Championships: Will Lee Chong Wei face Kevin Cordon at the Quarter-Finals?

    .
Today, at the Round of 16 of the 2011 World Championships, LCW gets to face seeded player, Park Sung Hwan [9].

My guess: LCW will defeat PSH in 2 games. And then, LCW will get to face Kevin Cordon (GUA) at the Quarter-Finals.

Let's see if my guess will come true. :):):)

LCW have to start the smokin moves now. Gear number 4 before the finals and gear number 6-7-8 vs LD. ;)

2011 World Championships: Will Lee Chong Wei face Kevin Cordon at the QUARTER-FINALS?

    .
I give it a 51% chance that this match (LCW-vs-KC) will occur at the Quarter-Finals.

I think most MAS and GUA Badminton fans are hoping for this match to be scheduled. :):):)

I think Abian will beat Kevin.. if Kevin plays like yesterday he shouldn't stand a chance. Unless of course he is back to the Dragon-conqueror form! :D

So much for Malaysian fans criticizing players like Chong Wei Feng for losing to an 'unknown' Spaniard! :p
