Yes! I agree with you, his passion, devoted, loved and duty to his country. This is the duty of one citizen to his country. in one or the other how ever you interprete onto it.

is duty only on the shoulder of a military or to every citizen of one country
Not only in military you fight for your country,....as a sportman, when you representing your country, you will have to fight for your country's pride and honour...........just as simple as that...
LYD is olympic champion hence he no need to go for military service...

AFAIK he has been trained since his Grade 2. No one single coach made him of now.
