Li-Ning Axforce 90 NEW

Tested it before for a few games. Would say an improvement from the Tiger (and even more than Dragon) - less head heavy and faster. But...

.... the power. Ouch. Anywhere but the sweet spot, this thing is "blunt".

There has been a lot of positive reviews for this new version of Axforce 90, mainly praising the shaft is a big improvement, with many people saying it’s the improved version of 90 Tiger.

For me, I’m not a fan of this new racket. It’s decent enough all around, sure, but I feel it does not excel at anything either. Hollow hitting feel. The power is there but it’s nothing to write home about. No oomph. Average defense and speed. It’s an easy racket to pick up and get used to, maybe that’s all. The Axforce series hasn’t had a standout besides Axforce 80. Axforce 100 had some initial hype but has pretty much disappeared from the courts; 90 Dragon is too niche; 90 Tiger is pretty good but just can’t seem to get popular enough. Perhaps this racket can get some popularity. At best, it’s just another all around one that is decent enough at offense, just like Axforce 80.

Oh and the colorway of the 90 New is the best in the Axforce lineup so far, in my opiniom. Gorgeous shade of green that reflects differently in different lightnings.

Looking forward to the reveal of Axforce 80 New next week ~

Edit: mine is 4UG5, strung with 80P 29x30lbs, total weight is 90.3g and balance point is 300mm.

What does a improved version of 90 Tiger mean?

I play only with 90 Tiger 3U at the moment, I ended up feeling the 90 Dragon 3U was too stiff for me, how is this 90 New compared?

I’m not sure either. It’s just that a lot of people have been saying this.

As for my opinion regarding this racket, I have explained it in the second paragraph of the post you quoted.

I feel 90New is not as stiff as 90 Dragon, and it is better everywhere including full power smashes. Probably due to new materials.
