That's rather obscure, even my post counter has been updated, no likes and posts from the Li-Ning racket fan club thread...

I've been using LN 1 string for about a month now. And wow it sure does last long and still performs well. Its my first thin string to try. Thinking of using NS70 next. Is it good?

How hard do you guys run the #1, when you think it's durable?

I know a LiNing sponsored player who is going to move to a thicker string, because he breaks too many #1's in a season. (120+).

I have one set of each color sitting on my desk for a test run here over the summer...

I have run it at 14 kg a few times, now at 12-13 kg. Rarely break it, but rarely break any strings at all.

I took it to 33/34 a couple of times and it was absolutely fine.

I ran it at 31/32 and it died long before it looked like breaking.

Same for me basically. I'm currently running it at 12.5 kg and it seems to last forever. On one of my JS10s I'm playing the same set for over 3.5 months now and I can see only minor dents around the sweet spot. I will play this one until it snaps or finally dies regarding feel. Wonder what will happen first.

BG80 lasted never longer than 2 months at 11-12 kg until it either broke or started to feel dull.

    Impressive durability.
How would you rate it's thickness on the "Yonex scale"?
Along the lines of .66 or .67?
    (Judged from pings)

I can tell you that the guy I talked to, probably play much more that you guys (he's a World Top 100 player), and he's know for cutting and slicing hard and often. I think he runs it at 13,5 kg (30 lbs). Danish LiNing dealer told me that the #1 so far had seemed very very durable with regular play, but really not happy for cut and slices...

Yeah, I'm not surprised to hear that. It's not as rough as BG80, so slicing isn't as awesome. Only downside for me.

Tried my first set over the past week. Really loved the string. Great feel, good repulsion, but broke in less than 10 hours of play. Hopefully that was just a one time thing however and it won't be such an issue in the future as I really am enjoying it. (And since I have a reel of it)

Finally, after 4 months I had to cut it. There were some dents at crossovers around the sweet spot and it started to feel dull and lost repulsion noticeably.

So I guess I have pushed it to its maximum lifespan for me. Still... at least twice as long as BG80 which is great IMO.

Having played with a few rackets with this string now, I would recommend to those trying it to string 1 to 2 pounds less than they think it should be at. It really does feel hard and passes vibration to the arm when the tensions are too high.

I'd say the opposite. I can string this quite high fot me and it still gives some nice power. Once broken in for a couple of sessions.

Well before no.1 I used 66um at 25, but found my shots went way too far with no.1 at 25 so I had to start stringing higher.

Still agree on stringing 1 lb higher than usual, then let it settle for 1-2 weeks where after it will stay at that tension for weeks on end.

Haven't experienced any other string with this characteristic.

Well I could still play well with no.1 at 30lbs on an n90 - with either my left or right hand. I dunno, I don't think power is a problem with this string in any shape or form.

I got a set of #5 to try. Do I go 2lb over my #1 tension for same feel?
