Li-Ning SINGAPORE Open SS 2013 : Day 1 & 2 (18th & 19th June) - Qualifying & R/32

Another misconception. If rank doesn't play a part, then the seeding is meaningless. Then there should not be any qualification rounds. Then those with very low WR should be permitted to enter tournaments and there should be no quota? I'm sure you know that the higher WR players do have advantages in any draw.

If you don't have an appropriate WR, then you may not be accepted into certain tournaments, like the SS Finals, the Olympics, the WC? :D

If you say that WR plays a part but upsets can happen, then I'll agree with you.
well said. good posting.

Meanwhile another SIN new XD of Yi Liu & Shinta lost narrowly to the Germans Johannes & Johanna in G1 21-23 with the latter smashing home winners.

Now if the SIN pair wants to win they must return the compliments in G2 and hopefully G3 too. But can they sustain?

Unfortunately, while they managed to salvage G2 21-15, Yi Liu & Shinta failed to capture the decider, which the Germans won 21-18with more smash winners 9 against 5.

P.V.Sindhu has withdrawn from the tournament.. There is nobody to stop Li xuerui in the top branch till final.. But in the bottom half, it would be difficult for saina to face mulitiple threats..

Again you have gone too far.. I said it in different meaning.. Li Xuerui is in full form which you might have seen in Indonesia open 2013. She faced Yippy (who created an upset by beating Wang Yihan) and Juliane Schenk (who has beaten Saina Nehwal after several attempts of failure) and won both of them.. These two can be easily tackled by Li as she has done it just two days before.. Sung Ji Hyun is out of form already... I guess Li will reach finals without any doubt from my side..
so according to you, if LXR is on fire, only sindhu can stop her ? do u think sindhu can do it ?

Surprise, surprise! Who would have thought that SIN Robin Gonansa could have beaten the more experienced SWE Henri Hurskainen 23-21, 21-11?

Hopefully Robin can present us with more surprises later! :D

So Ashton and Robin still have a chance to move forward in MS.

Even i thought of it.. According to me, Ashton is better than Robin..

Problem for Sindu is that when angered, LXR can turn on a much bigger fire as she did recently against German soldier. ;)

I recalled Lu Lan was the first person to beat LXR just after the LOG, yet till now she's nowhere to be seen and not called back to the CHN Nat'l team. What's wrong with CBA and LYB, don't they have eyes to see that anyone who can beat LXR no matter what form she(LXR)'s in must be champion material? Even some of us at BC can understand this.:p:confused::(:D

I say, Tian Houwei's mother is wrong when she said to him after his spectacular defeat of Lee CW:" Just one match doesn't prove anything. Continue to work hard".:p:rolleyes:;):)

I wait to see the match Pornpawee Chochuwong vs Thulasi P.V.
Pornpawee's just 15 . Love to see 5 Thai Ws in top 20.

Do you think Li xuerui is unbeatable??? :D;)...

Nope, I dont think she's unbeatable but I do think that she can beat SN and Sindhu way more times than SN or Sindhu can beat her... :D And the fact that LXR has started collecting major titles and has more than SN and Sindhu already ? When it comes to titles, people tends to look at the bigger ones compare to the normal SS or GP titles.. So unless SN or Sindhu get a few major titles or people outside india will forget about them once they retire or maybe they can be like LCW, get many many many many titles and stay in WR no.1 for many many many many many many months, get feature in many many many many finals of major tournaments.. That way, people will remember him :D

Do you really want to know the answer?

Even "god" is beatable sometimes.

The so-called four "heavenly kings/gods" were beaten from time to time.

WR1 LCW was beaten by low-ranked youngster from China not too long ago ....

So did LD ....

Do you now know the answer? :D:D:D

And LXR has been beaten a few times before. Surely you are aware of that...

As dieter_spath said, LYB didn't set any targets for Team CHN at the INA Open and this tournament just as he didn't for the AE'13. I noticed that ever since CHN reached the pinnacle with a clean sweep of golds at the LOG,he's been like that and none of his charges who flopped at the early rounds got reprimanded even. That's just as well.

Well I tend to agree more with yayachico...

Interesting... Wisnu lost many consecutive points to japanese after having a huge lead and losing the set finally.. 21-14. lol.. Riichi seems to be a good player..

Meanwhile the second round of the qualifiers has begun.

Now who will advance to the main draw. Some are lucky to get walkovers.

It seems to be like thailand players has withdrawn and has given walkovers to their second round opponents.. Loh, Do you know the reason for the same??
