Glad you selected two of his matches with Chen Long whom many tend to underrate as a multiple World and Olympic champion for his seemingly prosaic style relying mostly on his physicality, height and reach, raw power and speed, as well as amazing retrieving ability to frustrate and forced into capitulation even the toughest and most determined of opponents - just ask Lee CW how hard it is to get the shuttle past The Dragon Chen Long, to smash your way through his armour, no matter what you throw at him, even with deception/trick shots that appeared to have caught him off-guard as he looked apparently too late to the shuttle only to stun you with disbelief when it comes back, more often than not. In my opinion, Chen Long at his best is undoubtedly better than, a cut above, any of the hotshot players today. Frankly, he's past his peak now, his last hurrah is the Tokyo OG where, unfortunately, in the final with VA, his movement was hampered by his worsening blood blister on the sole of his foot which stymied his extraordinary defensive ability against Viktor's attacking prowess.
