The single person voted for "They won't meet because PSH will lose to Andrew Dabeka" must be a die-hard Canadian
I think you're over-stretching, I think fan of any country will vote for his/her countryman/woman if it's a close call like in MS where LCW certainly has the ability to win all hence will win more Malaysian votes. Otherwise, fan will pick his favourite, not necessary from the same country. For example, a Malaysian like me will vote : MS : Lee Chong Wei(Malaysia); *Bias, I admit but still quite likely WS : Tine Rasmussen(Denmark); *She is in top form MD : Lee/Jung(Korea); *Speed and power plus consistency WD : Zhang/Yang(China); *relentless attack XD : Widianto/Natsir(Indonesia) *very solid over all game
You have rationale to your thinking. Plus the Malaysia Boleh brainwashing must have worn off to a degree since you reside in the U.S. Still doesn't justify why WMC and KKK/TBH have picked up their votes. It's because they're popular, not because they will win the OG Gold.
WMC maybe. But KKK/TBH arent in the top of votes, the top 3 ranked pairs are & I didnt vote for KKK/TBH, same goes for quite a no of Msians. Like I said before in the MS thread abt LCW, not necessarily have to be Msian, just shows those players have more fans in BC.
No problem with LCW garnering all the votes, MAS fans or not. He is a genuine contender for the OG Gold. But KKK/TBH with 33 votes (16.84%)?? Come on, you're telling me that most of these voters aren't their MAS fans or their ardent admirers? In comparison Fu/Cai has 39! Sorry, wandering off-topic
Is still related, if I pick Park then the Chinese fan will claim I am anti-Chinese, like the Chinese saying : "Same kind of rice feeding so many different kinds of people"
you have a freedom to vote... In the poll..clearly Tine is fav..but ppl here vote for XXF...even in XD, GL/ZB has tough draw is still fav...I cant say they are anti-ina too.... I just do not support their players as much as my players...same thing goes to them that they do not have to support my players as much as I do.... so free to vote....this is freec ountry...no intimidation...
I'd like to know who the 2 people are who voted for "They won't meet because LD will lose to Ng Wei" because I have a genuine Yonex ArcNanoTec 12000X for sale
not me. but you never know. since China team didn't let ZL go to Olympics, NW will "turn anger into strength" and go beat LD.
So you think your Yonex will be enough to beat LD?..remember LD ,for sure, may have the most power Yonex, exclusively made for him.... Ng Wei may need 2 rackets...
PFFFFFFFF! LD's got no chance against my super-duper exclusive made, personally hand-crafted, precision balanced clone/fake Yonex. Ask NW to PM me to borrow my LD slayer
I have seen too many matches to totally agree with your comments. Hard matches do not necessarily drain a player totally, it can have a positive effect on him. Take this 1990 All-England final, where Ardy Wiranata defeated Foo Kok Keong. In the semifinals Ardy almost lost and took around 90 minutes to subdue Wu Wengkai in 3 games, Foo only took around 37 minutes to kill off Zhao Jianhua, and he played first. Ardy still managed to beat Foo, and we are talking about 2 supremely fit players of that era. Other examples include Tine Rasmussen and WMC's victories in Japan and China respectively, last season. Also, since PSH had beaten LD more than once before Asian Championships, it makes no sense for CHN coaching staff not to have a dossier on him and LHI. There is no love lost between Korea and China especially after the Korea Open MS final. Against CJ, Park doesn't even need to rely on fitness to win.
Lin Dan has slight edge against Park due to home ground advantage and his Olympic exposure. He knows what to expect in a supreme event like OG.He also lost miserably last time. That lost will remind him not to lost focus for even a short moment. But the advantage is very marginal. Because Park is indeed very strong player, skill wise and mental. Advantage for Park is his opponent will be facing hugh pressure due to extremely high expectation from the Chinese.Though call.
this match is undoubtedly the most exciting match for the first round. My heart cheers for ParkSH but SuperDan is simply too strong for all the contenders except...
