For someone who conclude that the country now is not as rich as in the early 90s based on info from the coffee shops, nasi kandar stores and NSC not funding some sailor ... I think I just have to say I feel sorry...
It was not from coffee shops, nasi kandar stores, & I already said 3 times in the other thread, not from NSC not funding some sailor. And considering I read the economic book like 7-8 years ago, I'm surprised I even remember the name of the author. If I'm not mistaken, this author also mentioned sthing abt manupulation of GDP & GDP per capita.
Find out who does market research for Petronas(since you know quite a bit abt it) or some of the major banks, or what AC Nielsen, Taylor Nielsen Sofres, Acorn Research, Synovate does.
Economic figures does not change
public perceptions and experience, esp after 1997 crash, abt those good days in early 1990s, irregardless of official economic figures.
If the public & businesses give an honest answer, they say "the government figures are BS, they only want to look good."
Anyway, again : One can continously lament the state of things or one can take action by trying to make a difference to change things in whatever ways one can . Other than that it's talk, talk, talk for years to come.
And in the process damaging the reputation of other Msians amongst the non Msians, in which overspills to real life. Hmmm what did the non Msian here call it..... hmmm
But of course, of course, you can always ignore what you consider to be "senseless & childish", "shallow", "bordering on emotional" (Swiss Open, Prof Players, TC threads) eagle says.
