well, considering we have 3 pairs from 4 in the semi - finals, i reckon the malaysians are doing quite well!! sad that Chan Chong Ming had to retire though due to his stomach pains..

no, hopefully Denmark vs Malaysia. Diversity wins more fans and will lead to greater excitement.

Agreed but an all Malaysian final will be much easier for the heart after the amount of pounding on the organ during the quarter-final

Quick question: Malay/Chinese MD combo is definitely not new in Malaysia but are these two pairs the first two who "make the world feel their presence"? Can't recall any earlier pair who have made impacts at the international level.

Yes, but I don't want a repeat of the headgames in the AE final as in 2004 between those particular Danes and Lee/Choong.

The headgames are normal, purely psychological and technically legal.

It was umpire Jane Hancock that spoiled the show.

There was a pair in 1971 - Ng Boon Bee/Punch Gunalan (Malaysia) winning the AE before Razif Sidek/Jalani Sidek .

And what a suprise there was a Malaysian player with USA player winning AE title in 1957 - J.C. Alston (USA)/'Johnnie' Heah (Malaysia) ????
Could anyone tell me about them? How did they be partnership?

    Congrats to MAS MD team

Congrats to the 3 MAS MD, they have beaten the odds and went into the semi-finals, make MAS having 1 guaranteed place in the final. The things that make more sweets it's because there are 2 young promising pairs :D and as if they have given the lesson to INA (PBSI), in order to be top MD (even you are young) is to be sent into top intenational tournaments regularly, not having "quarantine order" because of target oriented. Now, i can't imagine how the young INA MD can catch up with these young pairs.
