OMG Lazy, something about this statement... *gulps*

There's a major difference between wanting and the actual event's happening... *SWEAT*

...What does WA stand for though?

WA = Washington State, USA.

For the past few years (including this year, May 2006), the WA Open will be held at the "Pro Sports Club" in Bellevue right beside Bill Gate's place of employment.

The Pro Sports Club is a faaaabulous :) 5-star :) facility with all the amenities of a complete health club, apparently the largest in the USA.

Cheers!

I'd be up for that, though I have to find a means of keeping the wife and kids pre-occupied...

When there's a will, there's a way!

Come on Vining...by 2007, I might need a men's doubles partner for the special "35+K" category....it's for players over the age of 35 plus Knee surgeory! :crying: :D

I'll try to swat flies (for those who knows my style) at the front of the court, while you send over your howitzers from the back court!

Cheers!

Oh my ....already 18 pages~~~ Unfortunately I don't have time to read all the posts, I wonder what have been said for the past days. Heard from LB that some people are already planning for next year's trip ?!

Just dropping a few times to let you guys know that I'm still safe and alive. :D It's beautiful out here! The sun followed me from Vancouver. But how I miss Vancouver sushi ! :crying: It's 30$ for a little plate of sashimi/sushi rolls! :crying:

I had a wonderful time in Vancouver! No words can express how much I appreciated the vancouver bfers "official" welcome team, absolutely the friendliest people I've ever met ! :P

It's always nice to know you are enjoying your banff trip as well. Once compare to vancouver, not too many other places can beat the food for sure. :p

Glad that you like the vancouver trip, and i told ya you will love it. :D Time to plan for the next one. ;)

that's why van is the best city to live, documented.

this is even before taking badminton scene into consideration.

Ho ho ho~~ Found an internet spot here in Radium Hot Springs "town". :D
Beautiful weather out here : first rain, then snow, then rain !
The outer soles are my shoes have worn out (not enough grip on some of the slippery areas) Time to buy a new pair ! Shopping! shopping! shopping! :D :D :D

Thanks for promoting the WA Open Badminton Tournament, I hope
you're coming down to play this year.

Yup, we schedule the 3rd weekend of May just for you Canadians
since it's long weekend for you guys, so you can come down to
win the tournament and do some shopping, hehe. The Pro Sports Club
is definitely a great facility (well, not as good for badminton, since
you don't see as well due to some of the white background), there're
4 Jacuzzi tubs in the men's locker room.

Sounds like a great 2007 plan for LB and company, come by Seattle to play
the WA Open to warm up and ready for the torture session in Vancouver.
I'll do my best to host you guys.

Clinton

(not to steal this thread :) ...)

Hi Clinton,

Yes, I am making last minute arrangements to go, and same as last year, it looks like I will be bringing down a group of approximately 22 players for this year's tourny.

There could be another 6 pending if they could find a mixed and doubles partner for their age groups.

It's pretty much the same faces as last year except one third are new to the WA Open.

I'll email you my group entry just like last year!

Cheers!

All in all, quite a memorable trip :D
Thank you all for the hospitality and fun! Time to go home :crying: and earn some money for the next trip :D
Off to the airport now! Arriverdeci ! Au revoir !

I'm pretty sure you'll do fine. Or better, you still have time to sign up
for this year's tournament, come play and go up to Vancouver for
another fun session...

Had a chat with LB and Frendies. Looks like we got another convert to feathers and fine food;). Will be joining them at TamaKazu (along Broadway and Granville) for their sushi feast later after their VLTBC visit.

Urkel, Welcome to the forum. Please read up on the thread cuz we did mention some very nice places to eat. For great Chinese restuarants, you have to head out to Richmond for them. Alleluia (along Westminster Highway going towards #3 road on the westbound side of the highway) being one of them;).

Alleluia is absolutely delicious, the fried chicken sooo yummy~~~~~
