I'm getting an AT700 old colour tomorrow =). Bg65@ 24 lbs, purchased and strung at lees. I'll try to get some pictures up as well. By the way, is it just me, or does lees string tighter than yos?
Wrong...The old version is more heavy head than the new version I just tested it out a few days ago. There's also something differeny but I can't remember either lol.
Yea i think it was the ultimum TI stuff Cooler, nice one! Ewwwwwww bg-65 T.T and yea gj on getting the old one ^^ !!!!!how can you relate the older sexier colour with ultimum TI to the new one with ugly paint and cut back materials! @.@ when you did you try one out Alan?
I am very sure that there is no difference with the old one and new one just the changes in the colour scheme.. Pretty sure about that unless you have the AT 700 New in 4U as in the past AT 700 does not have the 4U Specs only 2U and 3U
Umm on Sunday..I just took the racquet and yeah. I think it was rated not as heavy head on another thread but can't remember which one.
....there is no difference in 2u 3u and 4u besides weight, and possibly durability...all the corresponding models should still be made out of the same materials, but there have been threads in this forum that point to the fact that the new AT700 is missing ultimum ti or something AND HERE ARE THE PICTURES OF THE MORE OWNAGE OLDER VERSIONS!
HEy xtc I was looking to buy a new at-500. Since only the new versions are made, Is the new one better than the old one? or vice-versa?
I was lookin to buy a new at-500 really soon. Many people say good things about it, but that was talkin about the old version. IS the new at-500 any differnt from the old one?
the at500 nw color is no different than the old one performance n material wise so thunderstrike isn't the old color sooooooooooo much sexier?
I have both Yonex 2007 and 2006 catalogues, Taiwan issue. Both shows that all Armortec racquets only have 3U and 4U, no 2U. The catalogues also show that both new and old AT700 are the same except colours. Both have Power Armor System, Ultimum Ti, Isometric and Built-In T-Joint. The characteristics of AT700 are - Flex: Extra Stiff; Composition: Frame: Ultra H.M. Graphite, gForce Ti; Shaft: H.M. Graphite, Ultimum Ti. Weight/Grip Size: 4U(80-84g)/G5, 3U(85-89g)/G5. Made in Japan.
Haha well i have catalogues dated back to 1996. hehe trust me there is a 2U version of AT 700.. I think the last bulk was discontinued i think end of 2005 or early 2006..
