So I stumbled a page on facebook in which I believe will be a new badminton facility in the Sacramento area. It's called the Northern California Badminton Club (NCBC) and will have 9 courts. https://www.facebook.com/NCBadminton
nice. 9 court but seems like a little packed on the layout. but nonetheless, great to see more gyms popping up. but cannot help but to notice yet another geographical inflation on names. Nor Cal? we have names like bay area, bay, california, east bay, etc. all of them are inflating their names beyond their actual influence. i'd much prefer if the name is more original.
Hey Guys, I just ran across this... Many thanks for your support!!! NCBC is a community project with a very modest start by a group of devoted badminton enthusiasts who simply got sick and tired of being treated like 2nd-class sport where we go around begging for leftover gym space and court time. As such, please do not misinterpret our failure in creativity as a purposeful mispresentation of geographic influence. We're just trying make a home for our badminton family and friends. Sac is somewhat of a hike from SF, but we welcome our fellow badminton enthusiasts w/ open arms. Please check us out at www.NorCalBadminton.com. i actually passed by NCBC a couple of times on the way to Tahoe and wanted to visit. but the timing never worked out. one of these days i will drop by and say hi.
