I'd say this is partly due to how well the racket plays for everyone (not incredibly head heavy and medium stiff is pretty easy to tame) and the very nice eye catching design and colors of the racket.

I gave mine to many people for them to try and every single one of them liked how it played.

Following the 9k, TK-6ooo is another popular racket... just dont understand y Victor has limited or stopped producing it...

With the emergence of the 9000 I frankly find the 6000 obsolete

    I beg to differ, mate...
the 6k is like a prelude to the 9k. It caters to a diff mkt grp. Its more user friendly due to its flexier shaft n those I know who dont like the 9k would choose the 6k...

I would tend to agree - for me, the 9000 does many things better and nothing worse.

    But that's for me:).

Guess you didn't like MX80N? You never reviewed it, even though you said you were going to?

Just watching Son Wan Ho vs LCW in the Sudirman Cup 2015. Son Wan Ho still using MX80, even though he has HX-800 available to him. I don't blame him - I go back to MX80 often too! Classic racket that will struggle to die I think.

And again, a real pity Paul never got to review it. I think he'd have rated it 6 stars!

I'm using Voltric 70 4u at the moment.

Would the mx80 suit me and how would u describe it compared to VT70?

Also what is the difference beside appearance between the mx80n spec vs the original mx80, which do you guys prefer?

The VT70 is mid flex for yonex so thats floppy in victor terms. The MX80 is probably the stiffest racquet around, they're worlds apart.

The MX80 and MX80N won't suit you at all, it is on the opposite end of the shaft stiffness scale. VT70 being flexy while the MX80 and MX80N being very stiff.

Centralsports listed the MX80 racket as ultra stiff for stiffness while the majority of high end yonex rackets come to stiff/very stiff.

In terms of the playability, the MX80 feels slightly more livelier than the MX80N probably due to the new paint job changing the way it plays. Stiffness wise, both are the same.

I was previously using MP99 so am used to stiff rackets also. As am looking for a even balance but solid power transfer racket that isn't too slow and tiredsome in defense.

Hows does the MX80N compare to MP99 or which yonex equivalent is it closest too?

It's difficult to get ahold of, but if you want to try it, go ahead.

I used the MP99 years before switching to the Victor Meteor series, especially MX80. The MP99 is a more user friendly racket in my opinion and more forgiving. Both are great all-round rackets. The MX80 is about two notches stiffer though, cuts the air better than the MP99 and feels like an extension of your arm.

You could consider the arc saber 11 as a close replacement of the MP99. The arc saber series was meant to replace the muscle power series of rackets.

Does anyone know where I can still get the MX80 or MX80n or if you have sourced it recently? I'm located in KL if anyone knows where I can get victor rackets there.

If indeed its not available anymore any other options for current models?

Is this look like an authentic or fake MX80 racket?

    How can I tell?

Any comparison between mx80 and mx80n? Which one feels heavier? And stiffness?
