New Victor Racquet - The Meteor X80 ( MX80 )

288-295mm, rated 'Stiff'.

If it's really a "7.2" (on the SOTX scale) then it'll be one of the stiffest production rackets ever made. Panda U1 came in at 7.0-7.5; not sure about TC700.

Of course, if the 7.2 refers to something else entirely then I bet it'll be a wet noodle like most of the other Victors:D.

Isn't it shaft thickness 7.2mm rather than stiffness? I assume this "Φ" stands for diameter ...

Yeah, the SW35 is a 'wet noodle'

And LYD is a hopeless player with his 'wet noodle' BS09

Obvious now - I looked at it and saw "phi"... D'oh!

The "wet noodle" was merely my observation that the stiffest YY are way stiffer than the stiffest Victors; I added the "most" to account for the SW35 (which I used to own):P. Anybody who tells me the BS08 doesn't play like a bamboo stick with a doorknob on the end... well, let's just say I won't believe them.

I just pissed my pants at that...:D:D:D:D:D

The X80 looks really fantastic I might sell off my YY ArcSaber 10 and get a hand of this gorgeous racket. Is the date of the launch of X80 the same as here in Malaysia? or just only in some part of the world.

reminds me of some old-fashioned candy sticks... :D
You think BP 288-295 won't lean towards slightly head-heavy?

Depends. "head heavy" can be a bit deceptive because how it feels on court is largely based on where the racket is carrying the weight. BP doesn't tell you that. However, most of the rackets I have that have that BP range generally feel pretty evenly balanced.

I think 295 ~ 299 mm (from total length of 675) mm can be consider as moderate head-heavy
while 300 ~ 305 mm can be consider as extreme head-heavy :)

BP 290 ~ 294 Even Balanced
BP 280 ~ 289 Head Light

CMIIW

I would be happy if Victor will launch a headlight to even balance highend serie compared to the Nanospeeds. In my opinion this is something which will complete their racket range.
Woven sounds good. I can't wait to hold the Meteor in my hands with athletic tape and a red Karakal Super PU on it. :)
