I have a choice of these three strings. Which do people think is the best string overall/best choice and the pros and cons of each? I play doubles only, string at a 23 lb tension and play with feathers. My racquet is even balance, mid stiff flexibility. Thoughts?
Why only these 3 choice when there are so many to choose from? Yonex only sponsor you these 3 strings. Haha
At lower tensions I’m not a big fan of 80p. Normal 80 is a way better string at sane tensions imo. Order a packet online and pay your stringer for his stringing. Could’ve sworn UK had big Badminton shops selling stuff for cheap online. 95 never made sense to me personally since if you’re going to go slippery you might as well go NBG98. 99 is fine but nothing outstanding.
nbg99. it is a nice allround string. hitting sound isnt bad either, but it isnt as good as bg80p pinging sound. nbg95 though is most durable.
NBG99 is my favorite of the choice above. It is perhaps the best all rounder string as it has pretty much everything especially control and feel. It is also one of the most popular strings of the clubs I string for.
But in the description of nbg99 it shows sound is 9/10? But I don't see a big sound with astrox 88d and nbg99 at 24lbs
Don't give too much on a Yonex Chart or on sound. I played NBG99 and BG80P awhile side by side. NBG99 sound fresh slightly better to my ears. For me NBG99 feels a bit earlier dull compared to BG80Power. IMO you should try both from the same and a decent stringer in the same frame. I think that a decent player should deliver an amazing booming sound on his smash which each string. I string for a talented young player who is on his way to become a pro. He use BG65, but if he smashs you are afraid that all strings break at the same time.
