If no flights.. maybe we can meet somewhere and watch it over wine... and have the Champagne ready.

Did you break the what, 9.72 sec record?

Maybe you should get into the Olympic 100m finals and just before the gun bangs, close your eyes, swallow the stinking tofu 'purposely', run away like a mad man, but keep in a straight line and almost in an instant your face will be flashed on TV screens all around the world. You'll become an instant celebrity even beating your idol LCW to the gold medal first! :D

A million ringgit will be waiting at home.

It is not just the stinky tofu. There is the smelly intestine-filled spring rolls, the chewy bamboo pieces, and gourmet duck tongues. I could swear that they gave me slimy worms cooked in black soya sauce (but they insisted it was some kind of vegies cut into worm-like pieces). I hope LCW will not be tempted with such delicacies and stay with home made nasi lemak (tar pau from MAS, fresh from KL).:D

    Uh oh...

..waaaaaait a minute here, something is odd...hmm..
Our Hau-ge passed the banner to smashie54, in Indonesia.
smashie54 is already back in the U.S.
kwun hasn't gotten the banner back.
so, where in the world is the BC banner?????...:eek:

Or maybe smashie54 hasn't given it to kwun, yet??..Or, or, is it still in INA??..:p

Dont panic lah. If really lost, original BC banner cannot "travel" OG, just make ver 2, exactly like it, to follow Huang, uncle Loh, HCYong, etc to Beijing :D:p

Wow, how far can I fall behind when I forget to check this thread for just one day.

I'll arrive in Beijing on 25-07, but leaving for Tong Hua on the 27th. Back in Beijing on 04-08.
    I've got tickets for: 09-08, 10-08, 12-08, 14-08, 15-08. (V11, V12, V14, V17, V18, V21, V22, V23) Not the MS Semis/Finals and MD Finals :( But I'm extremely glad with the tickets I've got :D

Great idea, Ctjcad. A get-together would be really cool. Although I'm not quite familiar with Beijing. Best to get someone else, sorry. I'm fine with the idea of a dinner (with or without doufu :p). Meeting you guys can't be worse that eating Choudoufu without knowing, right? :D Can't wait for it.

Let's hope we'll get the lost banner back in time. Otherwise, we could also get a banner made when we're in Beijing. Surely there is a place which does such stuff. Shouldn't cost too much either, I'll gladly put down the money for it. If someone knows a place, please contact me. I'll see if I can get it ordered before I leave for Tong Hua, and maybe it'll be finished when I'm back. Or someone else can pick it up when it's done.

Shall we exchange email addresses and phone numbers? I still need to enquire for my Beijing phone number, and I'm also going to buy a Chinese SIM-card to use on my cellphone. I'll post the numbers ASAP. My email: anfengwei@hotmail.com

Well, I hope someone else can take up the organising job. I'd love to do it, but I just don't really know Beijing that well. And when it comes down to age, it's probably an issue aswell. When a 16 year old kid (1,91 m length though) comes walking in Beijing Duck Restaurant to make a reservation, I don't think they'll take me seriously. Unless I slam a pack of RMB on the reception counter. Then they will! :p

    Hmmm..BC banner version 2??...

...BC banner ver. 2??..that i think might have to be custom made in China, prior to the Olympics...actually the original BC banner was also custom made in China (through kwun's mom)..
Btw, our Hau-ge most likely will not come along. He'll be taking a must-needed 1 month off (in L.A.) before going on another long trek to follow the SS..;)
..uh oh, i hope she didn't bring the same suitcase with her, with the BC banner still tucked away all the way at the bottom..:p ;)
...hmm, then who should we anoint as the organizer for this BC get-together???..Any other BCers from Beijing??..
Hmm, as for a BC banner (ver.2) made in Beijing, not crucial if we don't have it..

Yeah, thanks for providing your contact info also, Fengwei. I'll be PMing or emailing you soon, once i get all the final confirmation. I have friends in Beijing, but won't mind to have your help, as well..
