Well in Ottawa, all the Sport Experts, Sport Cheks, and Sport Marts have them. Try your local Sport Experts, Sport Cheks, and Sport Marts in Toronto.
just as an outsider looking in, doesnt this seem like the kind of rule that everyone knows there is but is ignored anyways? I've really never seen a high level male player (or a womens player playing singles for that matter) ever wear goggles for badminton.
It's this safety thingy schools have going on. Similar to the zero tolerance rule. Ignoring the rules will be fine, but if anyone gets hurt, someone will be in deep sht.
i remember why, it was just 2 years ago. this retard from father michael mcgivney, not to be racist or anything, but this white kid on the football team tried smashing but let go of the racquet and hit a chinese person in the eye. he lost 30% vision in that eye i believe.
I believe they call that assault with a weapon. Or butterfingers. But yea, when it comes to kids, Safety-first.
ive tried that once. You really have to concentrate to see the bird then, and face paced shots become difficult to return. sunglasses not recommended.
Lol i faced some guys who had googles that reflected light into my eyes. It's kind of hard to explain; however I think they had googles/eyewear that purposely distracted the opponent. Anyone know of such googles?
I dunno, Toronto rules states either 90% white or school uniform... But the other team has to complain.
So who's coming to the following tourneys: Lincoln Alexander tourney (March 25, 2009) - Is this a doubles only tournament? Turner Fenton tourney (April 1-2, 2009) - All disciplines, uses flight system so everyone is guaranteed 3 games. - Day 1 (April 1, 2009) - Boys Doubles and Girls Doubles - Day 2 (April 2, 2009) - Boys Singles, Girls Singles and Mixed Doubles That's right the Turner Fenton tourney happens every year, you can participate in all 3 disciplines (if you are playings boys singles and mixed, and currently playing a BS game and your XD game gets called, they will hold off your XD game until ure BD game finishes). We are hosting this tournament, a lot of exposure at this tournament, many people come.
Yea it's a senior tournament but lotta juniors participate too. Personally I played in it last year when I was a junior. Well it depends on if ure coach has space for you to play. Last year there weren't nearly enough males for the senior team last year, so a number of juniors played at all senior invitational tournaments but didn't go to senior ropssaa because technically I was still technically a junior. So who's coming and what are you expecting to play? I am playing BD and BS.
My last name is Masson but my first name starts with S (I don't wanna mention my full name on the internet).
My school has a literacy test for the gr.10 juniors this year on April 2nd so I guess they won't be going. I thought it was March 31st (MD & WD) Then April 1st ( Singles & XD)
I thought the literacy test was on the same day for all schools. I guess in that case its seniors / gr. 9's (very few gr. 9s though).
