Opponent saying thank you...

It is gamemsnship. Whether it matters or not (friends vs competitive match) is a different story.

 

I do this. For me it's half joking and half consoling the opponent. It's like I'm saying, hey I need you to keep making these errors in order for me to win.

And if my opponent does this, I interpret it the same way unless they obviously is mocking.
