Another domestic tourney that will be held right after the Astec Open 2011.
Quite a huge turnout for MD, with some surprises:
Markis Kido will be partnered with Hadi Saputra.
Hendra A. Gunawan will partner Candra Wijaya in preparation for the India Open GPG in the following week where they are seeded no 4.
The usual 4 Djarum pairs that occupy the top seeds: Rian/Rendra, Fernando/Wifqi, Jordan/Didit and Rizki/Albert.
The new surprise - Arya Maulana Aldiartama/Edi Subaktiar are being promoted to the Open Division (Dewasa) and they have a hard match against Nur Wahid Ardianto/Tri Kusuma Wardhana in R64. It's also time for Lukhi Apri Nugroho/Rizky Susanto to graduate in time for the more rigorous competition in Dewasa as they are no longer eligible to compute in Taruna next year.
Jaya Raya also does not want to lose out....its best Taruna pair of Hafiz Faisal/Putra Eka Rhoma are also promoted and they have a relatively easier task and should progress to R32 where they will faceDandi Prabudita/Wahyu Nayaka.
Likewise, the WJC Bronze-Medallist Ronald Alexander/Selvanus Geh are also tested against possibly Ridho Akbar/Krisna Adi in R64.
These means that competition in the MD will be very interesting and intense next week.
