Hello! I will stay in HCMC (Go Vap district) from mid july until mid august. Im looking for somewhere to play badminton. Not beginner level, high inermediate-advanced will be ok.

I will try going to watch the Vietnam international challenge live also, I hope some relatively famous players enter.

I did not find anything yet :(

@Sundis

Oh sorry to hear this. Anyway I will keep you updated with nice places to play badminton at Go Vap District in Vietnam. Are you planning to play at badminton clubs situated at Go Vap districts only or you don't mind playing outside Go Vap district. Vietnam may not be a very rich country thus it will be extremely difficult to find private badminton clubs to play badminton. If you don't mind I can introduce some nice badminton courts outside of Go Vap district but still nearby Go Vap district to play badminton. Wait for my good news. I will keep you updated. :)

@Sundis

In Vietnam it will be very difficult to find active people or active groups who play badminton on daily basis because badminton is not the main or core sports in Vietnam. It will be extremely difficult to even bump into a group of enthusiastic people who enjoy playing badminton. Anyway wait for my good news. I will find more information and keep you updated here. :)

Things to take note here :
It will be better for you to make a phone call first before visiting those badminton courts or badminton clubs to play. Anyway just walk in and ask straight by yourself. It will be very difficult to find a group of people in Vietnam who will be interested to play badminton. So best way is just to walk in and ask yourself.

@Sundis

If you need any directions and help about how to get to those different badminton clubs and badminton courts listed above, just let me know then I can send you the maps. Hope you will enjoy your trip to Vietnam and get to play badminton there as well. :)

I will try going to watch the Vietnam international challenge live also, I hope some relatively famous players enter.

@Sundis

Your wish came true. For your information, the most famous and best Korean MD (Ko Sung Hyun / Shin Baek Cheol) will be playing in Vietnam Open 2018. It has been sad for me ever since 3 best Korean MD players [Lee Yong Dae / Yoo Yeon Seong (rank no 1), Kim Gi Jung / Kim Sa Rang (rank no 3) and Ko Sung Hyun / Shin Baek Cheol (rank no 6)] stopped playing for more than 2 years and there is totally no news from them. So happy that Ko Sung Hyun / Shin Baek Cheol win their lawsuit against BKA to be allowed to play again.

Actually come to think of it. Ko Sung Hyun / Shin Baek Cheol is considered as very lucky because despite their ranking is 0 they have qualified to play in Vietnam Open. There are 24 reserve players in the MD lists that could not play. Some of those MD players in the reserve lists have rankings yet cannot play and sit waiting at the reserve lists.

So I am happy because Ko Sung Hyun / Shin Baek Cheol with ranking 0 has qualified to play. Anyway hope you can keep me updated with the news and results of Ko Sung Hyun / Shin Baek Cheol at Vietnam Open. I hope they can win the MD title there.

Do you know where I can buy tickets for Vietnam open?

@Sundis

Do let me know once you have purchased the tickets to watch the matches live at the stadium. At the same time do keep me updated with the results of Ko Sung Hyun / Shin Baek Cheol. I miss both of them very much. So happy to see both of them finally able to play at last.
