This is my newest try, Tourna Gauze grip tape, I have wrapped this over Yonex-Supergrap.. This feels tacky!! I have not tried playing in this. Did any of you guys try this Gauze one? I know its good for tennis racquets. Any thoughts?
no offence but lil bit look like first aid tape for me, btw hows the performance?
You're ok with the tape not completely attached to the cone?...It's gripped! Here is my grip. It's a Karakal Nano 60. Very thin but very tacky. I have introduced a bulge on the end cap with a few wraps of an old grip underneath the new one to increase the size at the bottom but keeping the usual size at the middle and top. Going over the cone has made a convenient hole to put my thumb. The only drawback is it looks dirty very quickly.View attachment 135441
Yes. Why do you ask? You're ok with the tape not completely attached to the cone?...
It just looks ghetto, that's all... Can be easily remedied by stretching the tape to conform to the cone, which is how it's usually done. But hey, different strokes for different folks.Yes. Why do you ask?
Ghetto? I like it how it is. TBH I think going all the way over the cone serves no purpose and looks rough. I like the bulge it makes just before the cone.
How do you get it completely on the cone? Whenever I do it I can't get the tape to stay down.
Yes. Why do you ask?
Oh, okay thanks I always get the 3 packs of grip so I just use the tape that comes with it. So maybe that's why I always get my tape looking like that, not that it really affect performance at all.If you buy individual grips (I don't, I buy reels of towel grip), throw the supplied tape in the bin, in my experience it's rubbish. Use electrical tape, and stretch it as you apply it.
