I just notice from the first picture, there is no t-joint for that NS9000-x. Also the cone looks not right to me. I am temping to call it a fake...
Another case of how dangerous a fake could be. Break a racket is nothing, when compare to the flying off part hitting ppl and cause injuries.
Theres little chance of that happenening, much more chance of getting hit by your partners racquet when playing doubles, and that can sting (especially getting a finger clipped for example).
help! First I must say thanks to my friend 'Local Londoner' for starting this thread about my broken racket. What he said is true and now I feel like I've been robbed. The racket cost me roughly £65 or $130 (usd). I got it from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260151698725&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123 From the pictures, it looked legit but I'm not pro so had to learn the hard way. I have message the seller but it doesn't seem like I will get a reply so I'm preparing to file a dispute to get my money back. Thanks you all for the messages in this thread, I will use them as a reference to claim that it is a obvious fake!
hey Kenokii, Welcome to BC. And David my oh my, next time go easy on the smash looks like one hell of an impact
Avoid buying from website like e-bay which act like a free market.Any stuffs can be sold in here. The seller can post a real yonex racket, but still..they send u a fake one. That happends alot. Try ur best to search a proper, trustable online shopping..or just go to a proper store to shop. That way u can feel secure, since if something wrong,u can easily look for the seller...
I bet your friend won that set right? xD I mean, the racket must have flew to the other side, KOed the other player and disqualify! xD
Just played for four 2-hours sessions. This is the result after crashing with partner's MP27. His racquet is OK. RIP my dear MP45. Not even a month using you. I am very now. Image before http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47859&page=2 (last image) and after.
The frame is always vulnerable to damage from clashes with other racquets. Cheap racquets do not break as easily as quality racquets-this may come as a shock to most people. The reason is that very high quality racquets use very, very stiff materials, which are excellent for power but very brittle. The stiffer the material the more brittle it is. So manufacturers compromise by reducing some stiffness, hence its quality, and increasing its strength by mixing with other materials. But some of these other materials like kevlar are even more expensive. But kevlar is almost indestructible, even a bullet cannot get through.
kevlar is not indestructible, it can only withstand a bullet at an angle. i've tried shooting at a kevlar helmet during my days in the army in order to prove the theory.
Depend on how it is wove and thickness. FYI a thick phone book can stop most of handgun bullet fired directly at it.
