Resting Place For Our Soldiers At Arms (broken racket phots)

Trump Conqueror...served me well...but hate to say that I'm glad it wasn't my MXJJS

i had strung a racket for a customer who had that exact same thing happened between the grommets. the old grommet had been embedded into the frame so deep that i culdn't get it out. the more i pull on whatever's left exposing on the outside would just stretch. but the customer insisted that her Ti5 is her favorite and must have it restrung even if the string will be embedded into the frame. tho it was at 23lbs, i was being very careful the whole time. basically i was walking on eggshells for the better part of the 45min.

I actually had no idea when it happened. But one stringer said she couldn't string it since it was cracked. But I thought it was more of a cosmetic scratch. Then I had a friend string it with bg80 @ 29lb.

ouch! 29lbs with bg80, that's rough!!!

yeah, since it was my first time using bg80, I didn't know how much higher to string it to compensate for the tension loss. But I plan on playing with it until it breaks all the way through. Give it a glorious ending

My 3 month old MX 80 vs my partner NR 800...
We was trying to retrieve a smash right on center line

Painful to see all this! I've fortunately never broken a racquet (fingers crossed). I checked all my racquets and noticed that almost all of them have paint chips, which is heartbreaking enough....can't imagine what it feels like to break one.
