just received the email and it looks like there will be no "B" division which sucks because that is usually the one that i end up in for singles :(

I see that. If Evylgrynn and I play well, we'll see you in 1/4 finals.

Then you hope that smash return practise comes in handy, cause I'll be primed. :D

    haha!! bring it :D

your second match (assuming you win your first of course) will be against Allan and Chad. i've watched them play and they are pretty good. Chad is definitely the weaker player in that pair so work his ass.

    Keep Clinton to the back.

If Jake is at the front and charges a short serve, be prepared for a wicked fake opposite to wherever you first guess.

Clinton doesn't pick up cross courts to his back hand side that well, if he does it's a dump/drop.

Though I wasn't hitting that well, Jake didn't like the high heat body shots when I could.

Steve - your racquets are done... need to figure out a way to get them back to you earlier as I won't be leaving Calgary until about 4 - the time you step on court for singles.

the last 2 times me and eric played together, we beat the 3/4 seed both times (then promptly lost to lionel and austin).

we beat jake and clinton by not playing the drive and smash game with them. we dropped alot and slowed the pace until we forced a short lift and just put it away with a smash or follow-up netkill.

you get into a power game against them and i think you'll be in trouble.

lol always solid advice, well could be worse you could use the famous line "just win the last rally" or "just hit it over the net"

this is good advice, when Vining and I played them, they beat us by playing more of a flat game, when we had them playing up and down (clear and drop), that was when we were winning (especially when we set up Vining's boomstick at the back)
