Side news during singapore open 2008

Alos been told that Chinese Taipeh women double may also retire after Olympic...the ones who are in final today...they will teach after retiring..

As though the lucky prize of a red Mazda is not enough to attract attention, during the SF, there were also "yellow" badminton players in all shapes and sizes to make the head turn. :)

Probably a PR exercise to connect the spectators to the dominant corporate colour of Aviva, the main sponsor. ;)
are they real ppl or juz a mascot??:p
looks like real and not real:D

Rudy and I decided to get one up on madbad. :rolleyes:

Since we are unlikely to beat him in the SO PAW game, we thought we better beat him in getting to his darling player Hwang Hye Youn first before he did. :D

So here goes and we got an additional bonus when we saw Mew Choo sitting on a chair and cutting some plasters with a scissor on our way out for dinner. Naturally we took the chance to have a photo with her. ;)

Speechless, envious [SIGH] ..... :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Just joking. Uncle Loh, how is HHY as a person? Does she speak any English? Did you try to talk to her? Did you tell her her #1 fan lives in Canada and said hi? :D:D:D

I found the ushers too inflexible.

The Danish players went into the Corporate Box area to sit behind the court where Juhl/Frier were playing in the WD quarterfinals, to support their teammates. Unfortunately the ushers told them to leave immediately. The reason given was that the seats were reserved for guests. Come on, there were so many empty seats in the Corporate box. Really do not see the need to chase them out. Last year I witnessed Bao Chunlai being asked to leave the coporate box area. What a shame. If only I had an extra guest pass, I would have given it to him.

I believe the guests would love to get close to the the players. I certainly would not mind HHY sitting next to me!

I think maybe Pretty Rudy asked all those questions and more on your behalf!
For when Rudy took the pic for us, she simply smiled at him with some sort of common and 'intimate' understanding! ;) :) :D
