Sudirman Cup 2009: Day 3 : May 12

Philippines lost yesterday's match, hope is most likely gone. Only group champions fight each other for promotion.

Besides DEN-KOR, Group 3A matches are interesting to be followed. Each team (USA, Czech, Bulgaria, and Sweden) currently have same record, 1 won and 1 lost.
Who will be the group winner, and who will be in the last place..?

Sigh, in 2 years the Asuncions might be not fit to compete anymore. I hope the younger players can fill their spots, though I'm starting to think the Philippines won't rise up until 2 or 3 Cups from now.

that shows miracles do happen sometimes;)
btw, thai md pair won the 1st set 21-17.

Can't comment too much on poor Boonsak whose form must have continued to drop. Haven't seen him in action lately, but I wonder whether his fitness has suffered.

Taipei win over france 4-1, while the one that stretched the most likely will be Ger vs Tha

Just like India in Group 3, Chinese Taipei has sparkled in Group 2 with convincing similar wins of 4-1 against both Germany and France. They must be in contention for a promotion to Group 1.

I'm afraid if Singapore fails again in its next encounters with the Netherlands and Poland, it will be demoted to Group 3. :crying:

Danish team will field Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen to fight against Olympic Champ, Young Dae/Hyo Jung.

Wow,.....JPN have to honour to play against Chn 1st choice team.......a full forced team...i tot they only need to be full forced when facing INA.....

2009 Sudirman Cup Day 3: Very quiet here at Badminton Central

.
One of the most puzzling things for us BCers is to know the line-ups in today's matches.
Hope that someone can post the line-up, like suetyan did, informing us who will be participating today's (Day 3) matches.
