JPN has improved a lot and could be strong opponent for INA
Waiting for the draw announcement. already 10:50am in China
I think Japan is the dark horse!
Of course the petite Eriko is Japan's fairest mare!
The Japanese team has been making waves of late.
There are quite a few fair mares in the Japanese stable. Have they named their squad yet?
Does anybody know when the draw will be released?
It is released already
Well, do share then....
A group: CHN, JPN, GER
B group: INA, MAS, RUS
C group: TPE, THA, IND
D group: DEN, KOR, ENG
Thanks. What's the source?
Group D looks killer
From a Chinese badminton forum. If you can read Chinese, follow the following link
There are photos as well
Unfortunately I don't but thanks all the same. BWF is so slow to upload to their website. And to think they are the guardians of the game
Is it the only group champion that through to knock-out round?
Looks like 8 teams make the QF (see pg 3 in link below)
Oh, I red in the regulations that two top teams will be qualified to the knock-out stage.
Yep, thanks madbad. So, it will be two-top teams in each group, so there will be 8 teams in QF
What a difference between Groups C and D...
Oh hey, I red this :
5.4 The draw for the knock-out stage of the Competition for shall be done immediately after the last match of the group play off is over.
Does anybody know about this rule?
Is it that the draw in knock-out stage still cant be determined now?
It's so that teams cannot fix their group matches to end up in a position avoid a certain team in the QF. That happened in the last Sudirman Cup which was quite a joke
Hmm, ya, ya, I got it.. This seems more fairer
If I remember right, Korea was the biggest offender. Yet by the (then) rules, they did nothing wrong by taking advantage of this loophole
