Looks like a mouth-watering teammatch against Malaysia, where the reward is avoiding China and Korea in the quarterfinal draw.

Peter Gade vs Lee Chong Wei 20-80
Jan O vs Daren Liew 80-20
H.K. or Viktor vs Hafiz Hashim 40-60
Boe/Mogensen vs Koo/Tan 60-40
Rasmussen/Pedersen (or Fischer) vs V Shem Goh/ Lim Kim Wah 55-45

Denmark should be able to squeeze past Malaysia 4-1 or 3-2, high probability of losing the first point. Boe/Mogensen, if in form can easily take care of KKK/TBH.
Jan O' Jorgensen will have no problems.
2nd MD might be a problem. This is where Malaysia has a chance to score an upset win as Mads/Jonas have not performed lately.
3rd MS... it all depends on Hafiz and his unforced errors to determine the result of the match. If Hafiz plays well, Malaysia can well take this tie. If the other Hafiz shows up, we will lose this.

Conclusion : Denmark the obvious favourites, but it will not be a surprise if Malaysia sneaks past 3-2.

TPE does not include CSC?????

Yeah, surprising indeed. Cheng SC has the highest rank for TPE WS player but she's excluded. Thai Uber team has good prospect to win group X, let's see... ;)

Also, Japan doesn't name Kazushi Yamada as third MS.

For Info: TC & UC Schedule

The Schedule of TUC Finals 2012:)
attachment.php

Looking at the schedule for TC Gp A, "IF" INA losses to END on Day 2, then INA has to field their strongest line-up against CHN in Day 3.
For END to win against INA, I guess END needs to win the 1st Singles and 1st Doubles, and hoping to win the 2nd or 3rd Singles. :D
Anyway, I am rooting for INA to win :)

Malaysia got a good chance to steal from Denmark. 1st ms, 1st md, 2nd md or 3rd ms. ;)
Well, depends on how Mr yo-yo swings in 3rd Singles.
If I may add, I think MAS 1st MD is also yo-yoing. :D
Against DEN, I think MAS has good chance in 1st MS & 2nd MD. The 3rd point needs to come from 1 of the yo-yo (if not 2 pts) :)

Uber Cup : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file_dow...d=350590&tid=1
Sung Ji Hyun, Bae Youn Joo, Hwang Hye Youn, Kim Soo Jin, Ha Jung Eun, Kim Min Jung, Jung Kyung Eun, Kim Ha Na, Eom Hye Won, Jang Ye Na

Based on the selected UC squad, is KOR serious enough a challenger? Would it be enough for them just to make the final? They have a few not quite elite players and don't have anywhere near the experience/leadership of the 2010 UC winning squad.

More importantly, is this Hwang Hye Youn's swan song? :D:crying:

CHN players have been susceptible to ups and downs in recent years, so it's possible. Though only KOR players are able to take full advantage of it and only if they are at top form.

Agree with you. Not a surprise if MAS wins, but the odds are still with Denmark in all except for the 1st MS which is to MAS. :) 2nd MS is confirm lost. Poor guy was meant to be sacrificial lamb from the start, when Hafiz decided to skip tournaments to lower his ranking.

Yeah, on paper it's tough chance for KOR to defend Uber Cup but no doubt KOR is major opponent for China despite they're only seeded #3.
KOR is always unpredictable and full of surprise in team event...:)

Denmark will win it because i do not believe in MAS doubles. Actually they have gotten worst since TKH took over. At least during Rexy's time, our doubles are more competitive. Now, they tend to be more defensive and worst their defensive stance is so far back that they are vulnerable to drops.
