WC Tix and Holiday Inn Availability Hello Everyone, I'm in the midst of making a last minute decision to goto the WOrld Championships and gathering info on tix availability and the Holidy Inn Venue. Any good seats left? And does the discount rate still stand at Holiday Inn? Be nice to get in some badminton in too w/ the rest of the group. Can someone fill me in as to the plans?? Probably finalize my plans in the next week or so. Derek
Hi Derek: I just checked the availability of tickets and: *The premium $289/Plaza Level seats are all gone *All the other seats, $189/$129/$89 seats are available Here's the link to order tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/090039218918125B?brand=&artistid=940433&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=102 That's all I know at this point.
WBC2005 ticket available I have one strip ticket for the World Badminton Championship which I want to sell. I have been looking forward to this tournament, but due to a conflict of schedule I can’t go to LA to watch the matches. This ticket will allow you to watch all the 7 days of matches from Aug 15 – 21. I will sell at cost $139, which is $129 for the ticket and $10 for the shipping and handling fees. If you are interested in purchasing the ticket please send me an e-mail at dtj0010@yahoo.com. I prefer you to pay me by Money Order(I will provide you with my name and address), and once I received the money order I’ll send the ticket by certified mail to you to ensure to receive them. I will sell this ticket on first come first serve basis. Attached is the schedule of matches.
Derek, please go to this link, if you haven't read it, for more information on our BC group get-together..We will meet and decide what our schedule(s) will be, most likely after the WC has started and if time allows for some badminton games... http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20681
Discounted 2005 World Badminton Championships Tickets Because of schedule conflict, I and my friend cannot attend a few days in the competition. I have premium seats (Based on what I see on the chart, these seats are very close to the center of the action. You can check the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim seating chart to confirm) I am selling these individual event tickets (Section 206, Row A) for less (at least 30% less) than Ticketmaster (who is charging $30 + service charge + shipping for such seats). I am not selling the tickets at a profit (in fact, I am not including the service fee charged against me). I have three sequential seats (three sets of tickets). The prices are already discounted (my loss, your gain) and I will consider reasonable offers. ---------------------------------- Ticket 1: Section 206 Row A Monday event: $21 Tuesday event: $21 Wednesday event: $21 If you buy all three tickets, I'll sell at a bigger loss--$54 only for very good seats. Ticketmaster will charge you $90 + service charge + shipping for such seats. ---------------------------------- Ticket 2: Section 206 Row A Monday event: $21 each Tuesday event: $21 each Wednesday event: $21 each Thursday event: $21 each If you buy a set of four tickets, I'll sell at a bigger loss--$72 only for a very good seat. Ticketmaster will charge you $120 + service charge + shipping for such seats. ---------------------------------- Ticket 3: Section 206 Row A Monday event: $21 each Tuesday event: $21 each Wednesday event: $21 each Thursday event: $21 each If you buy a set of four tickets, I'll sell at a bigger loss--$72 only for a very good seat. Ticketmaster will charge you $120 + service charge + shipping for such seats. ---------------------------------- Biggest loss for me, but BEST DEAL for you: If you buy all 11 tickets, I'll give you the lot for only $190. Ticketmaster will charge you $330 + service charge for such seats.
Compared with the WC tickets, the Adult Early Bird Season Tickets for the recent Aviva Open Singapore 2005 at S$16 (US10) up to the Finals must be very, very cheap indeed! Kids below 12 were admitted free. We are really lucky and thankful to the sponsors for last year it cost twice as much! And there was no lack of world-class players, certainly better than last year, with most of the world's top-10 participating in all events. It was the best organized Opens so far. Of course, this year's Open is special for it coincides with the IOC meeting here to select the host city for Olympics 2012 which was finally won by London after a tough fight with Paris. Naturally the organizers took this opportunity to impress with a good attendance. They were not disappointed as a turn-out of about 8,000 was an all-time high! So impressed were the IOC and IBF council members present that they are now considering whether to give Singapore a chance to be one of the IBF Training Centres in place of Kuala Lumpur. I'm sure Anaheim will also be very successful in hosting the WC. It will be an opportune time to impress the mainstream and gain more adherents to the game. Hopefully the WC will usher in the start of badminton renaissance in the US. Those who know will never forget the prowess of the great US neurosurgeon, Dave Freeman, All-England Champion 1949, who remained undefeated in the singles game when he retired. May you all have an enjoyable time and please post your pics, commentary, results, views, etc, etc, to keep us updated and in contact.
WC Ticket package for sale - Sec 209 I am selling ONE package (minus the Saturday semi-finals). You'll be buying, Mon-Fri + Sun (FINALS) tickets in SECTION 209, ROW C, SEAT 8, which are the second best seats in the house, right in front of Center Court. I am giving them up because, due to poor planning on my part, my university finals exams coincide exactly with the World Champs. Purchase them for $200. This exact ticket package (not incl the Sat. matches) currently goes for $250+ (= $220 + service charge + shipping/handling) through Ticketmaster. I may consider selling the tickets separately or the whole package (Mon-Sun) if it helps. Please contact me if you're interested at virgelx@hotmail.com. We can make arrangements on the transaction then. Thanks and hope everyone enjoys the event! This is a truly wonderful thing that has happened to USA Badminton. Section 209 season ticket for $199. Due to a conflict, I have to let go a complete season ticket set for all games from Mon-Sun. The seat is in section 209, the one next to the center court. You can go to the Arrowpond website to see their seating chart for more detailed seat location. I ordered them a year ago for $189 plus $10 shipping. I would sell them for the same price I paid plus whatever the transaction and shipping cost. I believe this section is already sold out at ticket masters (they actually charge a huge fee on top of the ticket price). So you are getting the best seating at a price you could not find anywhere else. If interested, please send me an email at kyc_us@yahoo.com Kevin
If you want to sell me 2 tickets for thursday for $42, ill purchase them. Let me know. spectramr2@yahoo.com or just post your reply here.
