I think shot quality of China's Shi Yuqi was superb.

Well done by SYQ. CHN leading with 2-1.

Jonatan was doing pretty well in the beginning.. guess CHN MS today were the better players.

I must say Shi Yuqi shows maturity in his game, not the first time, glad he handles his nerves better as the match wears on. Well played, even Chen Yu stood up from his chair arms aloft in celebration a number of times.

Agree, I have this feeling again that Shi Yuqi is playing more and more like LCW

only caught a few points. Jonatan could've gotten it closer i reckon.

unless LD collapse like LXR, China should wrap this up against INA.

and JPN leading 2-1 on the other courts.

CHN vs. JPN will be exiting.

I think Shi Yuqi's game is about passive control where he his consistency increases as the rally progresses.

Whereas LCW is about reading the game as fast as possible.

Shi Yuqi really needs to believe in himself, the only aspect of his game that's missing to rise to the top

Not that passive, on the contrary, when he's in his element, he's attacking and defending a la LCW, very decisive, neat, crisp, and forceful. We'll see in the near future, maybe very soon.

Lin Dan has said more than once that what he hates most in team championships is the long wait and not knowing if he gets to play or not. Naturally, he never had this problem before when he was MS1.
