I don't think he made any excuse, anywho, it's celebration time just witnessed the most thrilling match of the year
LCW really wanted to win so much, this title, he is playing his opponent and fighting himself at the same time. Will LCW still want to carry on playing ? The next WC will be held in Nanjing, China, expect Lin Dan and Chen Long to be there for sure.
The frustrating part about LCW's loss is not that he lost or against who. It's the way he lost. It's not that he lost because he is too slow/old or doesn't possess the skills. It's all mental! It's always been when it mattered with Chong Wei. Tough destiny to swallow.
His mentalities is the fault here. Staying passive for too long and not attacking. I hope the coaches and LCW regret for using the same tactic forever.
I think LCW's scorpion bite net play has been missing this year. We Lin Dan fans remember BAC 2016. Net cord after Net cord after net cord
Agree he is too passive. Currently, maybe because of age but for the past few years he has been like that.
Am I the only one thinking that Chris Adcock is one of the fastest doubles player on the circuit? European standard anyway.
I mean, a man, no matter how great, can only take so much beating, so many disappointments, time and time again, the more he wanted it, that elusive gold, the more it eludes him. Heartaching for one of the greats of all time, the absence of any major title notwithstanding. Actually, when the draw was announced and he knew he had to take on one of the two most formidable opponents as early as the quarterfinals is itself sort of a bad omen for him , I guess. For all we know, he could be playing this R1 match against Brice Leverdez with Chen Long at the back of his mind, not a relishing prospect I'm sure for anyone. I really feel for LCW, at a loss for words, to see him go down like that at the opening round of such an all-important tournament for him.
